Hints and tips showing how to pass level 5221 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
Level 5221 Candy Crush Saga is a jelly level, you have to clear the jelly to complete the level. Having said that you can completely forget about the jelly and concentrate only on clearing the four cakes.
You have to start making moves in the middle section and once the chocolate at the bottom of the board is cleared the candies will drop through the portal into the top left and right sections of the board. This way you will be able to get stripes and combos into the sides of the board where they can be used to clear cake sections.
Try to clear the bottom cakes first if you can without wasting moves because once the top cakes are cleared you will get countdown bombs dropping with only 8 moves. these bombs are usually easy to clear once the board is opened up by clearing the cakes, but this can waste a lot of moves as you still have to clear any remaining cakes and jelly.

Moves are now only 16. Makes it well nigh impossible.

Nothing like the level I have for 5221, which involves clearing 100 jellies and 2 cherries in the bottom corners in 22 moves. Have tried everything but virtually impossible - stuck for days!! No fun anymore and certainly no strategy.

Absolutely different board. Boring. Impossible. Frustrating as this is the third board that is entirely different than the original.
