Hints and tips showing how to pass level 3978 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
Level 3978 Candy Crush Saga is a multi task level, apart from clearing the jelly you have to collect waffles and licorice.
Open up the board to give you more space to work and then you need to make combos, you won't have any chance of completing level 3978 unless you can do this.
There are stripes in line with the locked waffles and the sooner you get the waffles unlocked the better chance you will have of collecting enough to fill the orders. Once the two rows of waffles are unlocked they, and the licorice, will be able to drop through the portal at the bottom and into the right side of the board where they are easier to collect.
It is not easy to make combos, especially once the licorice and waffles are free, but you need to look very carefully for ways to make them. The best combo is a colourbomb/wrap combo and you will be well on the way to completing this level if you can make this combo as it will clear jelly as well as collecting the other orders. Other combos that are helpful are stripe/ wrap combos and even a double colourbomb if you can make one.
The moves have been reduced to 24 at the time of writing but there are no videos available at present with only 24 moves, I will replace the video when one is available. The video below by Johnny Crush has 30 moves and he uses almost all of them.

Why are King releasing these levels that demand Boosters, surely they realise customers will not give in to this sort of pressure to spend money.. The only people still playing at this level are those with plenty of free Boosters from earlier. I will be finished once I get to level 4000 if my boosters can get me there...
Twice I came close with ten moves remaining and a notice cones up “oops level failed”
Graham, i also want to stop playing when I have reached level 4000. The levels especially after 3500 are designed to make the most of the money. I have not used a as much as 1 dollars and now i’m Sadly tired those levels that need many boosters. I will gather the necessary sugar drops to get enough boosters to finish 4000. Time to move on to another game. I also plan to quit at 4000. I thought I had finally finished this level, got all the licorice and jellies, but said I failed the level and still had 4 more waffles with 9 moves left? My board was clear with only candies left. Such cheaters!
I don't see any waffle dispensers or check mark boosters, so why did I fail the level? King just wants more money. I have never paid a cent to play this game and I never will. Good luck all!

It must be fixed as I was able to collect everything with some of the licorice and waffles left on the board.
Like the previous players I intend to quit at 4000 as there is no fun or sense of achievement anymore. It has become boring and frustrating. I was told level,failed when I still had valid moves left so King are determined to punish loyal crushers with these obstacles. I’m tired of replaying levels to have sd in order to replay same game again and again
The fun has gone out of this game now. Preferred it when you had more moves to complete the games instead of now where you can only win if you use space dash boosters. Playing the same games over and over just to achieve space dash is boring. Enjoying playing candy crush friends instead.
This is the end of candy crush.the only way to pass this level is to buy 50 hammers. Kings is so stupid in its desperate search for money that they don't realize that doing so they destroy their own game. I have quit already 100 levels ago, but I saw a friend of mine being still there after two weeks of try. This is not a game (in the real sense of this word) any longer. And it is a pity because the idea was nice. Now it is only a question of money and luck. Uninstall this idiot thing! There are lots of nicer games in the net!

Played this level for first time today with SD and beat it with 12 moves left. Used cookie's hints about CB with wrap and added fish which did the trick. Don't disagree with comments about needing boosters on every level now but by reading blog before trying level and using boosters, been able to keep up, except for weeks with 3 episodes !. The worst thing now is having to play old levels, 3711 for me, to restore SD. I hope some of you stick around as without the blog, I probably would have given up long ago.
Absolutely a horrible level. Started with full space Dash and all boosters added period started with a color bomb and stripe with little help. Ended up using 5 lollipop hammers at the end, thank God I have them. Good luck everybody. Stuck for 2 days on this level. Finally finished.
I don’t think ppl who said will quit cc after 4000 will be able to quit even if they want to. We all are Addicted! Tho I do agree it’s getting ridiculously hard. Thank goodness for this site to help us out.

I agree with Mike, as long as you have SD and free boosters, this blog will see you through the dark times.
Maybe they have fixed sth, but I do write here because I think this level was actually fun.... and I improved while playing by understanding the logic of the board. I started with a CB
+ wrap (had still free minutes of this from the bean stuff) and could do another CB+Stripe during the game. Wraps are very helpful and the flow on the left side (= the blocked fields) must be opened soon. Since I gave up my "inner pressure" to rush through the games, but play a bit and leave it when I don't have fun with a level...Its much more relaxing and I like CC again (after being very furious quite some levels ago). And I personally found the last levels challenging but "doable".

20 moves and they added 2 layers of5 layered choc. blockers in front of the bombs, So game over if you don't reach them in time.
Oh im mad!! Collected the orders i had 2 cb and a fish on the board with 12 mives left i only neede 2 jellies...then a message appeard "level failed you didnt collect all orders" WTF! !!!!!

I was cheated out of a win also. I cleared all the board and it said I lost with 9 moves left because there were no waffles left to collect but it said I needed 4 more. Ridiculous!!
You guys, if I may... we are kicking this game's butt. I imagine they are trying to keep us from just kicking so much butt that they cant keep up with us! Let's all chill and enjoy a hard level. We would all be at level 10 billion otherwise. Love this game, relax and hammer down!

The moves have been reduced again to 20. I am so tired of King making the levels harder and taking moves away on an already difficult level.

This usually happens when it becomes impossible to collect the orders in the moves available.
As on the previous level, the key for me was taking advantage of the stripe dispensers. Had to use 2 hammers at the end.
I used all my boosters but realize i didn’t have enough waffles!! Argh Posting foe luck and i agree there is a glitch with this one if i knew that sooner i wouldnt have used all my boosters!!!

Very hard, get close but can’t finish. Used boosters, no help to complete. Any help would be appreciated
Finished using all boosters at start, getting lucky making 5 color bombs along the way and using hand and hammer at the end. Frustrating level.

My game now has 19 moves to clear 119 jellies 15 licorice and 30 waffles!
King this is impossible need more moves or give us loads of free boosters.

I need a new game. I have been giving in to purchasing too many boosters and I need to stop. These levels are made to suck us in and spend money to pass. Every once in a while, fine. But this is too greedy and just not enjoyable anymore. Years of playing…no reward for that. Such a bummer.
