Hints and tips showing how to pass level 9691 Candy Crush Saga without boosters by Cookie
Tips and walkthrough video for this level. Even experts sometimes need help!
I will post videos for every level and write tips where I think they are needed but otherwise please feel free to give your tips in the comments.
Tips: level 9691 is a dual task level, you have to collect the cherries and clear the jelly to complete the level. First you need to clear the skulls in as few moves as possible, if you take too many moves you will not have enough left to clear the level. Once this is done you should have colourbombs which you should try to switch with other special candies if you can. As the board begins to open up it will get easier to make the combos you need. The cherries drop down the outer columns and can often be switched out of the exits higher up the board, so keep your eye on them as it will clear them from the board earlier. The cherries will continue to cycle on the conveyor until you get them off either by switching or by dropping them off the bottom.
The moves have been reduced since the videos were made so you may struggle to clear the jelly in the moves available even once the cherries are collected.

In 9691, when a cherry is on the 8th row, if you are able to clear the space below it on the 9th row such as a match or horizontal stripe blast or hammering the candy underneath it, the cherry will fall on the 9th row conveyor where there are several exits there. Otherwise, the cherry will teleport back to the second row. A cherry on a column other than the 1st and 9th columns, can also fall to the 9th row. A.vertical stripe blast on the 1st and or 9th column will send the cherry there in that column to the 9th row conveyor where it can exit in a few moves.
This should have been my first comment.
In 9691, your biggest problem is getting the cherries to the exit. Try to clear ASAP the Sour Skull in the middle. In its pedestals are the Bubblegum Pops which have jellies underneath them that have to be cleared also.
The cherries travel along the conveyors on cols. 1 & 9. When the cherries get on the 8th row, they don't go down to the 9th row. They teleport back to the second row. (There are exits on the 2nd row on cols. 3 & 8 where you can switch the cherries with candies to the exits. Otherwise the cherries will travel down again on the conveyor using more moves.) I used 2 hands here to make 2 cherries exit.

Regarding my comments above, the cherry won't fall to the 9th row conveyor as a result of a Striped blast or by matching if there is a Toffee Swirl below the cherry. If there is a candy below it, yes, but Toffee Swirl, no.

First go, I was just missing one cherry - one move would have done it, but I wasted my last gold on the last game. As I've lost my two hammers and a handswitch from this level in the re-sync, I lost the game, and now must post for luck. Bitter? Yes, a bit!

Day 4 followed all the advice. At one point had 4 colour bombs but the go before two lined up they all explode on their own. Last day day today. It shouldn’t be this hard to play a game.

Thanks for tips. I can't get that to work 4 me though. It's above my pay scale. I'm so confused and so far from ever beating this its comical. Used booster on last levels. I'm boosterless and clueless lol. Pfl luck and a miracle needed
Here's am idea, cc should do their big advertised contest after people this far along have used every booster on this crazy episode. Wait, they already did that to me. Ugh

Don't focus on getting the cherries out, they will come out naturally from the bottom of the board. Focus on getting rid of the jellies and caramels from the bottom. The ideal is to combine colored bombs with wrapped and striped candies, and even better, two colored bombs. With a little luck and a lot of attention, you can pass this level.
