Pat, Candy Royale is a 24 hour event that happens every 4 days. There were a couple of times when CC was running other major events when I didn't get the Candy Royale but other than that it's been a consistent every-4-days for over a year now. To win a "share" of gold bars, you have to pass a certain number of new levels on the first try, winning gold crowns. The wins have to be consecutive. If you don't pass a level on the first try, you're dropped from the event. If that happens, you can wait 30 minutes and start a new Candy Royale streak. If you sign into CC every day, you should have seen it come up. If you've never seen it, maybe try a manual update. Hope that helps.

So I was all ready to post my story of woe when a 1 second power outage after the hurricane cost me my bot streak and chocolate box boosters and episode race and Candy Royale while playing hard level (14040) but then a miracle occurred and I beat the level with just the 3 boosters to start with and then won 7 in a row (cost me 91 GBs to do it including 3 nightmare levels) and won the full 500 GBs in the next CR.
Not a fan of the new Chocolate Box where you can't pick which challenge and you only get 3 changes per challenge. Plus, the rewards are pretty anemic (and you can't choose when to claim them - e.g. 5 minute UFO). To top it off, after completing the 1st 3 challenges, the last one gave me choice of using UFOs or Party Boosters (not the normal beat 4-6 unplayed/1st time levels.
Anyway, up to 14053 (which I understand from Sunny is a bit "difficult" ? :-)
WooHoo Mike!! You hit the jackpot after what could have been a disaster. Good for you! I only got 16 GBs on my last Candy Royale. LOL
I agree about the new chocolate box. Not only can you only change tasks 3x per box, but you can't see what your choices are so you could be changing to something worse. And the rewards are almost all timed boosters which I don't find useful when I can't choose when to collect them. Unless the rewards change, I'm not even bothering to play the boxes.

So I was able to beat 14053 first time (full bot, extra boosters to start, 3 extra moves) and even beat 14056 first time, then hit 14057 ("normal level") with full bot, watched the video (with no boosters) and proceeded to fail miserably. Took several tries (with no boosters) and finally beat it but now looking at 14058, even with the check booster, seems like doomed to need mucho extra moves with all the chocolate needed.
Anybody got any suggestions/tips for this one?
You’re lucky, Mike, for winning 500 gold bars from Candy Royale even with the blackout. I just earned 417 gold bars today from Candy Royale but in a hard and strange way. I played Candy Royale in two devices. First, I won 167 on my tablet and then 125 on my cell phone. When I check my tablet the Candy Royale was still available, so I played it again and won another 125 gold bars this time. It pushed my gold bar count to 2,337. I am now at level 13821, still need a lot of catching up, though.
I won just 54 gold bars from the Pot of Gold. It is less than what I expected but it is more than enough to buy a piñata or about 9 hands or hammers. I played repeatedly level 9308 to get the 13500 orange candies.
I played the episode from 13831 to 13850 and it's a hard and terrible one. Add a check candy booster in 13838 because it's hard to complete the chocolate order even with the booster. That level snapped my first try streak of about 100 levels, It took me 4 tries it to pass it. Although I won the Episode Race, I have a net loss of more than 100 gold bars because I have to buy boosters along the way to complete the episode.
So I had given up believing in "lucky boards" for a long while but after finally beating 14074, they still exist. What a "nightmare" level, diabolically designed to kill bot streaks. I played it with no boosters but fish definitely in the cards along with needing combos to get down to the locked boosters at the bottom.
The good thing with this episode is every one else in the race are blocked by other "nightmare" levels so I still have a chance to win this one :-)

It's going to be painful & sad to delete Candy Crush, but levels aren't fun & too hard for my abilities. Stuck on 10072 much further than I had planned to go.

I got only 239 gold bars this time from Candy Royale. It showed in my tablet Thursday night. I played it and got 167 gold bars. I was waiting for it to show on my cell phone but it did not appear on Friday, Today I have to play my cell phone because my lead in the Weekly Contest is being threatenend. When I was playing my cell phone, Candy Royale showed up. I played it and gained 72 gold bars. So, 167 plus 72 equals 239.
10012 needs more moves
King is now giving bonuses for winning Episode Races. I won my 70th consecutive Episode race last night. In addition to the 45 gold bars with the win, I got a bonus of another 58 gold bars for watching 2 videos, giving me a total of 103 gold bars for the episode win and pushing my gold bar count to 2441.

Lucky you Rick! I've never gotten a bonus after winning an episode race though I've now won over 100 in a row, including today. I've also gotten really unlucky with my Candy Royale groupings. Only got 15 - 20 GBs each of the last 5 times I played. :(
Mariann, the bonus is a new feature. This is just the second time I saw the bonus. The first one, I did not get much. I don't know when a player should get a bonus. Does it have to do with how much lead you have in winning the episode race? There is still a lot of mystery in Candy Crush that we don't know about. I am just waiting for the Candy Royale to show up tomorrow. I'll play an episode or two with it. I might find out something.
Speaking of luck, Mike is very lucky to win all of the 500 gold bars. Did it mean that he beats 99 other players in completing the first 7 levels? The most I won is 167 gold bars, the 500 split among 3 players including me.
Rick, I won an Episode Race today and there was no bonus. Could be something they're testing on some players. Could depend on the device you're playing on. (I only play on my phone). There's always been inconsistency among players and who gets what events/features. Like you said, there's a lot King doesn't reveal that remains a mystery.
I got all 500 GBs in Candy Royale twice. It meant none of the 99 I was being compared to got 7 consecutive gold crowns when they played. In the more recent ones I played, 30+ of the 99 in my grouping had gotten the 7 consecutive gold crowns when they played, hence my getting just 15 or so.
NOOO!! COOKIE WE NEED FURTHER HELP ALSO! AFTER LEVEL 10000 THEY ARE JUST IMPOSSIBLE TO PASS WITHOUT TIPS AND VIDEO!
Mariann, I just played, finished, and won an Episode Race now but I did not get any bonus at all this time. You could be right that it might be just an experiment being tested by King at the moment.
I am disappointed that Candy Royale has not shown up. It is the 4th day today.
Sorry, Mike and Sunny, that your Bill's lost a heartbreaker to the Jets last night. It could be that the Bill's quarterback in Josh Allen has not won any overtime game at all. He is 0 for 5 already.

A couple of tips:
In 13935 which is not marked as a Hard level, but it's a very hard one indeed because it snapped my first try streak. To save on moves, hammer the pink key at the bottom right to open up the right bottom hox.. Then, try to collect the blue candies ASAP. Some of the blue candies are wrapped in bubble gum but you can still switch them. You can grow the frog and use it on the upper right by moving it to the right to collect the purple candies.
In 13952, let the chocolate grow some more before collecting them. Better still, add a checkmark candy booster which can turn into chocolate or bubble gum to complete the order.

Continuing my Candy Royale UNlucky streak. 37 of the 99 I was compared to today completed the 7 gold crowns in a row when they played so I only got 13 GBs. That's the 6th one in a row where I received under 20 GBs. Ugh.
I finally join the Elite 14000 club. In the process, I also won a bunch of boosters including a piñata. My banner was also changed from 13000 to 14000. I had some problem on level 13997. I should have added a check candy booster before I played it on my cellphone, but I am short of them. When it looks like that I won't complete that level on my cellphone, I played and completed it on my tablet (after buying check candy boosters for my tablet). I also won 100 gold bars from my cellphone and 167 from my tablet from Candy Royale for a total 267, boosting my gold bars count to 2590. Good luck everyone!
I am now at 14031. It seems that the levels are somehow more difficult after you reach 14000. In 14022, let the chocolate grow first before clearing them. I found it out too late because I have completed everything but I am still short of 2 chocolate on the order. I know my game is lost and have to restart because there is no more chocolate on the board to collect. It terminated my first try streak again. Note that you cannot use a check candy booster to start the game.
Mariann, I just still got a bonus after winning my last Episode Race. It is not a big deal, though, because it is only for 8 additional gold bars after watching 2 videos.
I just finished the episode from 14046 to 14060. Although I almost completed every level on my first try except 14050 and 14056, I agree with Sunny and Mike that it is really a very hard episode. It started with a Legendary level and there are 7 Nightmarishly Hard and 2 Super Hard levels along the way. In 14050, I was short by just one chocolate in the order to complete it. In my second try, I let the chocolate grow some more before collecting them. Although I won the Episode Race and earned some bonus gold bars, I had 56 less gold bars because I bought 20 Stripe Painter boosters, but I still have over 2500 gold bars left.
Something is seriously wrong with pc's setup. While some players are boasting of thousands of gold bars, the rest of us are paying 1.99 to get 10 to move on. Why aren't there videos for all to watch for extra bars? Why aren't there opportunities for all to win something? The new challenge is a joke. Winning 40 UFOs would be nice. However, the winners will be those with thousands of bars and boosters; and they will be able to pass new levels to top the leaderboard. I am very frustrated; I am too old for this. I am on level 14857, but it has come with a big price. This is it!

Sunny, thanks for your warning on level 14116. However, I did not have to use any gold bars. I completed 14116 together with all the levels in the episode on first try. I am more worried in 14110 that I might not have enough Licorice Swirls to complete the order. That episode is hard, though.
Tip for 14,160 because I couldn't figure it out, the only way to get the gummy things is to grow the frog & place it on top right wafer. Good luck to all & Go Bills!

I earned 402 gold bars today but in a hard way. I have to finish 3 episodes which I was able to complete all on first try. I am now at 14186. Candy Royale showed up on my cell phone unexpectdly (I thought it will show up on Tuesday) so I have to play it. First I played it on my tablet and I got 167 gold bars. After I finished the episode, I was to play on my cellphone but Candy Royale disappeared there. I played an episode and Candy Royale showed up when there were only a few levels left. So I have to continue to the next episode to complete it. I got 82 from Candy Royale and 159 gold bars for winning 3 episodes with the bonuses for a total of 402 gold bars.
On 14152, you cannot add a check candy booster. There are not enough purple candies on the board initially to complete the order, so you have to let them fall to collect them.
For those who have Blue Candies Collection, I recommend level 8328. The level has to be completed in order that the blue candies you collected will be counted. I played 8328 4 times and completed it 3 times, allowing me to get 8000 blue candies, giving me the boosters that go with it as the reward.
Hi Mariann, I felt what you have feeling by winning less than 20 gold bars for several times in Candy Royale. I just won 20 gold bars in today's Candy Royale, but I won 50 this time for winning the Episode Race. I don't know if 50 is now the norm for winning Episode Races. I am now at level 14256, still about 500 levels behind Pat's 14857.
I just finished an Episode Race and it's still at 45 GBs for me and still no bonus. I'm not too far ahead of you, now at 14,421. As for Candy Royale, my last one was on Saturday so I was expecting one yesterday but it never showed up. Didn't show up today either so I'm not sure what's going on.
This Candy Royale thing is kind of mysterious. I had one Sunday, so I am expecting it today Thursday. (It looks like it does not appear on the same day for everbody.) It appeared on my tablet where I got the 20 gold bars but it has not appeared yet on my cellphone (Maybe tomorrow). As for the prize for winning an Episode Race, I got 50 gold bars twice already, but I don't get any kind of bonus any more. I have over 3000 gold bars already.
I qualified for the Finals of the UFO Cup, but I don't know if I can play it because I am going on a weeklong cruise starting Sunday.
So I made it to level 14206 and ran into similar problem with CR. Spent 10 GBs on 2 levels to complete the CR but to my dismay only got 17 GBs at the end. What frosts me is they claim that all 28 players completed 14203, which is a true nightmare (one of the levels I needed the GBs to complete after starting with full bot and all 3 boosters (including precious check booster). Forgive me if I'm skeptical :-)
I'm down to 56 GBs and no hammers/switches so I play very carefully these days (e.g. watch every video before playing each level - which sometimes doesn't map to what I'm playing as they're 4 months old).
On the positive side, I have 30K GBs on my Android tablet and just passed level 14000 so there I can play with reckless abandon (I have like a 765 episode streak - and noticed the 50 GBs there too).
Just a minor note I've posted before on level 8328 - as soon as you complete the level, if you click on the screen when Tiffi comes on and skip the finish, you get between 4K and 8K of the blue/red/yellow candies (used to be you couldn't find red candies - now they're everywhere - green are the hard ones to find now for these contests). It's long way back to scroll to 8328 but when you can complete a contest or compete with these crazies who get 1M points (I was in semifinal of the UFO contest but would have had to play 6 more hours to have a chance).
p.s. Sunny - think our Bills are going to take out Dolphins today? Let's hope so. Apologies to all Dolphin fans out there :-) You did score 70 points last week so kudos to your team.

Regarding Mike Baskey’s comment about level 8328, I have been using his tip for a few months now, ever since I saw an earlier post from him about it. It’s fantastic to see literally thousands of the color being collected, instead of merely hundreds. But this morning when I tried it to collect oranges, it didn’t work. If you haven’t tried it, it’s definitely worth your scrolling down to that level. As Mike has said, you have to exit the level AS SOON AS the dumb cartoon lady pops up. Be ready for it so you can punch it quickly. I hope it works for you; clearly it’s still functioning for some of us. Just not me!😩😩

I finally won a substantial number of gold bars from Candy Royale (125). I previously won 48 and as low as 12. King has tightened the rules in Candy Royale. You have to complete 14 levels now ob first try to claim some gold bars. Previously, it was only 7 levels. I am now at level 14406. My gold bars stash has been halved from 3400+ to 1700+ mainly for buying extra noves (10 gold bars for 5 extra moves) and for buying boosters. before raising it up now to 1913 with the episode win and from candy Royale,

Coming back after around 2 months without playing. My target is now #15000. I think it will be very tough because I have only 1800 bars. Again: use check mark booster very parcimoniously because you will need to start with it whenever you have to collect chocolate and red or yellow candies. I am now at level 14451. Despite winning several episode races, my gold bars have dipped to 1768 by buying extra moves or boosters.
A couple of tips:
In 14421, let the magic mixer dispense enough Licorice Swirls to complete the order. Don't rely on the dispensers at the bottom of the board, because no Licorice Swirls will fall from them. I wasted a lot of boosters including a piñata to make them fall but nothing fell. I learned the hard lesson myself. It also snapped my first try streak because I just decided to try again instead of wasting some more boosters.
In 14449, be prepared to use a UFO or two to clear thick forest of Toffee Swirls covering the double jellies.

To those who have Puzzle Run, I recommend level 2000 to collect the green candies. It requires a lot of scrolling but I think it is worth it. It has a lot of moves (36) and it is easy to complete. You will get only about over a hundred candies each time, but replaying it will enable you to collect the 1000 green candies required to collect the UfO and other boosters.

Rick, I had the "sweet events coming soon" message for a couple of days as well. It disappeared yesterday (10/19) and I could access my events page again. There were no new events there, just the same old ones. Just a couple at first but after I played a level, they *all* showed up. Hope the same happens for you.
Mariann, thanks a lot for your tip. After reading it, I played an old level (the solution) and I was as able to access my Events page and started to collect boosters again. You are right. There is no "Sweet Events" King is crowing about nor anything new there. I wonder how many boosters I could have collected if I have known the "solution" earlier. I wasted several days waiting for nothing.
Mariann, I did not realize that I was already at 14514 and forgot about your tip to let the chocolate grow. I have cleared all the chocolate and just realized it but there is no more chocolate left to grow. So I have no choice but replay it and broke my first try streak of over 100 levels.
Tip on 14505. To collect the order of 5 Magic Mixers at the bottom of the right hand box, you have to clear first the left hand box of Toffee Swirls. Then the horizontal stripes will fall the dispensers, which you will need to take out and collect the Magic Mixers. Remember that the Magic Mixers have to be hit 5 times to explode, so you might need also 5 hammers to strike the horizontal stripes. There is no tip on this level nor I watched videos of it. I have to figure out myself how to collect the Magic Moxers.

Done thru #14600. The most difficult is #14598. There is not enough caramel on board and you can’t use the check mark booster. The only solution are the extra moves unless you have two 😰party boosters and use one of them with at least 10 moves left. Good luck everyone.

Hank, level 8328 has about 500 - 700 blue candies and is very easy to pass. As for the green gems, as far as I can tell, they're only in new levels and sporadic at that. I only got 3 green gems in the 15 new levels I completed today.
I got only 2 green gems for playing an episode. I'm not playing anymore levels to get these gems. The prizes offered are not worth playing for.

Luis, I don't get your tip on 14598. Did you mean Toffee Swirls instead of Caramel? I think the blue candies are harder to get than the Toffee Swirls. I passed this level on my first try without using any party boosters (which I don't have any, anyway).
Hi Rick, you are right. I wanted to say toffee swirls. For me was tremendously difficult to get them.
The next episode was also a nightmare (14600/15) and tips are useless. Just a recommendation: Avoid to use hammers to create a CB/CB. The result can be catastrophic because sometimes it generates a cascade. Use a switch instead the hammer. I slowed down because I realized I don’t have enough bars to reach #15000 and so I depend on what I get from candy royal. Good luck everyone.
Boy - go away for a while and Luis and Rick are steaming way ahead! I finally passed my Facebook version at 14225 with my Android tablet and am at 14376, currently playing to beat 25 levels to get 25 gold bars in a day. I played the green gem qualifier and needed to play 3 full episodes to get the 8 gems. Finals are tomorrow - we'll see what they've got cooked up for us.
I will say the first 2 or 3 episodes after 14300 were true nightmares (especially the ones marked "normal". I needed the 3 extra moves and sometimes UFO boosters on most of them and even then sometimes needed gold bars to keep bot streak going. I have episode streak of like 760 so the 45 gold bars I get plus Candy Royales which usually yield between 30 and 50 offset the GBs I spend to keep going (I have 30K now - as opposed to the 4 I have on the FB version).
Thanks for the tip on 14514 - hopefully will remember the hint when I get there. Not much sense in providing tips since most are way ahead.
p.s. The hint I provided on 8328 seems they have closed the loophole -for getting red/blue/yellow candies, now only around 500-700 per iteration. Used to have green here as well as 3309 which were my 2 goto levels but now they seem to have red instead. 12000 for red and CBs, 11000 for wraps, 13000 for blue (but only for chocolate box as it's a bit challenging to complete so you don't get credit in the contests when you fail whereas Chocolate box gives you whatever you got even if you fail).

I qualified for the gem hunt just through my regular play but I'm not trying to win. The rewards aren't worth it. Now, the Candy Cup challenge that starts 11/02 is a different story with a top reward of 30 party boosters. If it's like last year's though it requires passing a qualifying round, a quarter-final, and a semi-final before getting to the final. I was one of the 10K winners last year but that's when the loophole worked and new levels had a 10X bonus so I could leap ahead even playing those old levels. Now the loopholes are closed (the ones we know about anyway) and it's a 30x bonus on new levels so IMHO impossible to keep up playing old levels. And like all of CC's events with a leaderboard, players at lower levels have a big advantage being able to pass new levels and get a 30x bonus without using the gold/boosters needed to pass the higher levels. We'll see how it goes. I think the biggest factor is the group you're in.
Done thru 14630. The levels from 14620 to 14630 is a killer. Although I passed all the levels on my first try , won the Episode Race, and collected 50 GBs from Candy Royale, I end up with less gold bars. I have to buy piñatas to use in 14620 and other levels. The hardest is 14626 where I have to use 16 Gold Bars to get 5 extra moves to collect the required Licorice Swirls. I advise to add a check candy when the order includes Licorice Swirls. Good luck everybody.
Done thru 14645. I am leading in the Gem Hunt contest right now, which I don't have an intention of joining. I just played some episodes for Candy Royale. There is about 3 hours to go, so I don't know if my lead will hold,
Done thru 14675. I did win the Gem Hunt. The prizes include 3 UFOs and 3 hands. I'll write some tips later.

In 14666, you have to “kill” the Sour Skull first so that the gummy dinos will fall from columns 1 and 2. Then you to clear the Toffee Swirls below them to clear the dinos. There are also Toffee Swirls in columns 4 &5 protecting the Sour Skull. I used a piñata here to clear the Toffee Swirls.
In 14667, you have to collect 150 Toffee Swirls. Most of them are already on the board as a checkmark candy which will become Toffee Swirls. You can use some UFOs or a piñata here to collect the Toffee Swirls.
In 14668, you have to collect the keys that will drop from colum 5. Columns 1 to 4 contains a forest of piñata protecting the double layer of Jellies. I have to use a piñata here also to clear the Toffee Swirls.
I think the hardest level in this episode is 14674 which is designated as a Nightmarishly Hard Level. The hardest Rainbow Rapid to free is the one in the middle. First of all the squares leading to it are locked. So you have to collect the keys first from columns 4 & 6. Note that many squares are enclosed by Licorice Curls. They have to be cleared too.

Done thru 14735. 14735 is not designated as a hard level but very tricky to complete. First you have to unlock the frog on the right hand box by collecting the keys in that box. Then you grow the frog and collect the 5-layer Toffee Swirls on the small box on the top with tbe frog. Once you collected the 5-later Toffee Swirls, the big box on the top left will open. Switch the yellow and red candies on top of the row of vertical stripes bon-bon blitzes and the snakes will go down to the bottom left box opening it. The candies will fall in them and just collect the double jellies under them. You can complete this level without using boosters just like what I did.
Done thru 14750. I got a piñata for leading the qualifiers round in Candy Cup. I earned also 86 much needed gold bars from Candy Royale and Episode Race. My gold bars was already down to less than 400, so the 86 additional gold bars is a big help.
Episode #14721/35 is a true “serial killer”😂😂. I found # 14735 the easiest level of the episode (in this case I don’t follow Rick’s opinion) and #14725/28/31/34 absolutely impossible without robust boosters even playing with full bot of boosters which was my case. Good luck everyone.
I passed the first round in Candy Cup but it wasn't that hard to place in the top 5 of 10, especially when the bottom 5 in my group weren't even competing. :) The next round is top 3 of 15 and the semi-final is top 3 of 30 before you move on and try to be #1 of 10 really competitive players. I decided not to bother even trying to advance. 30 party poppers is a nice prize (I still have 5 left from last year) but last year I mostly played old levels and don't see how that's possible this year. My general goal in playing CC is to win more gold/boosters every week than I use. For me, that means playing about 3 episodes a week. If I play much more than that, I end up in the negative and it's going to take a LOT of episodes to end up a winner. So I'm out but good luck to any of you who do choose to compete!

Luis, I did not say 14735 is the hardest level in the episode. I just said it is "tricky." I completed all the levels in that episode on my first try.

Can someone give me a sanity check on the episode starting with 14631? I got a 5 minute UFO booster to start so figured I'd try it out. First level wound up needing extra moves on top of the UFO. Then nightmare level which left me with 51 jellies to clear after all the moves (and I'm staring with full bot and the extra boosters). 14633 and 14634 no better - extra moves on both (lucky I have lots of gold bars but even if I win the episode race and Candy Royale, won't make up for the GBs I'm having to spend.
I'm all for challenging but to have normal levels where you finish with 50+ jellies left, we're moving from sublime to ridiculous!

Thanks Mike for your comment. About 4 months ago, I was like a dead fish floating on the ocean with just 2 gold bars and almost no boosters, particularly the hands and hammers. I was staring at a Legendary Level 12802. Well, King gave me extra 24 moves to pass level 12802. Of course I completed it and continued playing other levels beyond that. I won Episode Races in the process (my Episode Race winning streak is now 130) and thanks to Candy Royale, I have now almost 600 gold bars and level 15000 is now within reach.
I am leading in the candy Cup quarterfinals right now but I don't know if it hold.
Rick - I was in a similar situation (couple of times) and got "resurrected" in a similar way (latest one was when the candy converter let me switch coconut wheels for gold bars and got to 10 GBs and bought my way out of a legendary level. I'm back up to 140 GBs but lingering at 14266 with couple of levels a day.
What I want to do today is finally call BS on CC for this Candy Royale. Playing on my tablet at level 14680 (another "legendary") I had to use a Party Booster and then buy 73 GBs worth of extra moves to complete, they claim all other 19 players passed the level (really?) and then to top it off, those same players 6 of them dropped out after a hard and a normal level following (but the remaining players beat the next legendary level so only 36 GBs for the winner (with 3 legendary levels out of the 10 required to complete the CR). Oh, really!
I'm guessing many players use the strategy I have which is to never lose the bot and always win the episode races and CRs. Nice to have 30K GBs saved up (it only took me 18 months to start new and get up to the 14K levels) so the game is a lot easier now but I still find these latest levels impossible - full bot, extra boosters and still can't complete most normal levels without extra moves (made hard since they don't usually give you a UFO now with the 3 extra moves with watching ads).

I agree with you. Candy Royale is no longer a reliable source of gold bars. Most of the time I spent more gold bars by buying extra moves or boosters (to keep my bot alive) than what I earned from Candy Royale and winning the episode race, since the levels are getting more difficult. I think I have won only less than 30 hold bars in the last few Candy Royale I played. I don't know if the competition is getting harder because the players left that you compete with are smarter or it is rigged because the 500 gold bars will be shared and the more players share it, the less you get.
I used to have over 3000 gold bars but now down to 500. In the last episode, I have to pay 16 gold bars for 5 extra moves. I paid it to keep my bot alive and also so as not to repeat playing the same level again.

I did win the Candy Cup quarterfinals. Somebody overtook me yesterday in first place, so I have to play an episode to retake the lead. I was expecting more in the prizes since it is a quarterfinals, but I got the same prizes in the qualification round: a piñata, a hand, and a hammer.
Mike, I've had the same experience in CR where it makes no sense when some of the 99 drop out and when they don't. I've come to believe that when King says "players on your level" they don't mean playing CR on the exact same level numbers. For example, I started a CR yesterday at 14,781 and failed 14,786. I started a new CR at 14,787 and completed the necessary 10 levels on the first try. For future players playing CR in that episode, if I'm one of the 99, either one of those games could be used. Also, since King has never been all that transparent, it could very well be that "players on your level" means players somewhere in the vicinity of your level, say players currently in the 14K range, and the CR games they choose as part of the 99 could be an even wider range of the 99's past CR games and not even the same episode you're playing.

I played Candy Royale today and got only 17 gold bars. Before playing it, King looked for 99 other players in the "same level as me" to play with me for 500 gold bars. I shared the 17 gold bars I won with 29 other players. The mystery is that I am at a high level of 14825, and it's like King is telling me there are at least 99 other players who have reached that level that I will compete for a share of the 500 hold bars. Anyway, it is one of the few times that I finished an episode without buying extra moves or boosters and increase my gold bars to 447 with a win in the Episode Race.
Beware of 14839. It is classified as a Legendary Level. It is probably the hardest Legendary Level that I have played. You have to use a check candy booster because the 30 Licorice Swirl order is hard to get. Even then it took me 3 tries to pass it. I used a piñata, 3 UFOs, and countless hands and hammers to clear candies so that Licorice Swirls or at least a check candy that you can hammer to become Licorice Swirl will fall from the dispensers in column 4 & 6.
Done thru 14870. Beware of level 14861. I got an Oops there. I used a CB combo from the upper right corner and that gave me the Oops because there is no more move to make. The CB combo almost cleared the board except for a few Toffee Swirls that are needed to be taken out to complete the order. It broke my streak again of passing each level on my first try.
The trick to pass this level is to grow the frog depending on the color by using the color bombs on either the top left or right hand corner. Then use the grown frog to take out a Toffee Swirls square, which in turn collects the surrounding Liquorice Swirls. You will have to grow the frog several times to pass this level.
Done thru 14900 but my gold bars are down to only 118 now.
Done thru 14915 and increase my gold bars a little to 139.
Done thru 14945 but my gold bars are down to 93.
Beware of 14932. It's hard to collect the Toffee Swirls order. I have to use several times the vertical candies by using the stripe painter boosters and hammering them on the last column to collect them to complete the order and pass the level.

Done thru 14975 just two episodes away from level 15000. I was worried because I have only 18 gold bars left near the end of the episode, and the minimum I will need to buy minor boosters is 19. It's a good thimg I finished and won the episide race (my 140 straight one) and the 45 gives me 53 gold bars, giving me a sigh of relief.
I won't rush to get to 15000. According to Pat she just get measly rewards for reaching 15000. I'll accumulate enough heads and hammers first to continue playing an episode.
Candy Royale now gives too little gold bars (I just get an average of 20 in my last few times I played it.) I get more gold bars (45) by winning an episode race than from Candy Royale.
Done thru 14990. I thought my Candy Crush adventure has finally ended on level 14977. I played level 14976 yesterday. It is not classified as a Hard Level but it is ridiculously hard. You need to collect 1000 frostings. What makes it particularly hard is that you have to get the Frostings from Check candies, so in effect, you have to hit the Check candies twice First you turn it into a Frosting, then collect the Frosting. I used my gold bars to buy a piñata, which left me with just 8 gold bars, but I was able to pass 14976. Then I got stuck on level 14977 which is classified as a Nightmarishly Hard level. Then this afternoon, I played 14977 again and passed it. I found out the nobody has won the Episide Race yet. Evidently, the other playes on this race are having difficulties in the levels, too. So I continued playing until the end of the episode in 14990 and was still able to win the Episode Race and keep my Episode Race winning streak alive at 145. More importantly, I collected 45 gold bars from the win, giving me again a total of 53 gold bars

I made it to 15005. I got some boosters for reaching level 15000 including a piñata. I also won the Episode Race and increased my gold bars count to 60. I barely have enough boosters to reach 15000. It's like my car is running on fumes already but I manage to eke it out. What I can only say is that you can reach 15000 with using a penny of your own money but it was very difficult.
The levels leading after 15000 are terrible. In level 15001, you have to collect 230 Candy Cane Curls. It is as hard as collecting 1000 Frostings in level 14976.Then there is 15002 which is a Nightmarishly Hard level. Good luck everyone!
In 15001, I meant 230 Licorice Curls not candy cane Curls.
In 15003, use the frog to take out the Licorice Swirls, after growing it by switching the color bomb with red candies on top or yellow candies at the bottom. But you have to destroy the Sour Skull first before the Licorice Swirls squares will show up.
Congratulations on reaching 15,000 Rick! And thanks for the tips. They'll be helpful whenever I get there ... as long as King doesn't change those levels before I get to them. As King is often want to do.

I got stuck in 15010. It is classified as a Legendary Hard level. I will probably need several UFOs or piñata to pass this level. The free UFO that comes from watching a video barely scratches it. At least I have reached my goal of reaching 15000 without using any of my own money. That is opposite of King’s intention. King makes the levels much more difficult to use up our gold bars so that we will buy them from King. That is not going to happen with me, I have only 6 gold bars left but I won’t buy any gold bars from King. I will just play other games for my mental exercise like Freecell that I won’t need to spend money on. My Episode Race winning streak of 145 will most likely end soon because I can’t continue anymore.
Congratulations Rick. You managed your bars as a financial expert. I just completed #14915 but I’m pretty confident that #15000 is now possible because I have more than 1500 bars meaning that I can spend 250 per episode. Some levels are absolutely undoable without party boosters but I also won’t spend a single euro of my own money with this game. Good luck everyone.

Nevertheless I still have around 1200 bars which I think will allow me to complete some more episodes. #14976 is absurd and absolutely impossible to complete without party boosters and/or a lot of extra moves but in my opinion the worst episode is #14930/45. Congratulations on getting to 15,000 Luis! With both you and Rick warning about 14,976, looks like I'd better be prepared with some heavy-duty anti-anxiety meds when I get to that level. LOL
So, not to 15000 yet but a warning for those coming to 14924 - with a full bot and extra boosters (try to avoid spending more than 16 gold bars per level), I got the dreaded "OOPS" where no moves so goodbye bot streak. The level is doable with just a few boosters but then they hit you with a "normal 14925 (Not!) and then an impossible 14926 (meaning more gold bars).
Getting to a point where even with 28K GBs (starting 14000 with over 31K) the game is no longer fun. Most of the YouTube videos just show them using Party Boosters (and then even more sometimes) to complete. Probably lost a dozen PBs during the 14Ks.
15000 sounds like good objective then time for a break (Royal Match is SO much easier - completed more than 5000 levels in 3-4 months and rarely have to spend coins and have more boosters than I can possibly use (although I thought that about Candy Crush once upon a time).

Tks Mariann. This game is not easy now. I only play twice a week when I have Candy Royal. Today I won 39 bars plus the 45 of the episode race but I have to spend 3 or 4 party boosters per episode. Being so I don’t expect a long CC life. My alternative is Gummy Drops, not so difficult and allows me to learn something about different cities. I don’t like Royal Match (sorry Mike), I found it not very challenging. Good luck everyone

Another bot-buster level - 14931. Not paying attention ("normal level") ran into the gummy bear on the left with no place to fall (watched video after where it "magically" moves to the right). Had to waste 3 of my 4 remaining hand switches to get it out.
Luis - pretty much agree on Royal Match (they put a couple of zingers in every so often to keep it a little interesting) but after stressful round of CC, need something where I can feel competent again :-) Never heard of Gummy Drop - will check it out.
p.s. Played a Candy Royale where with 2 nightmare/legenday levels, somehow 25 other players managed to complete all levels so only 20 GBs (after spending more to beat the 7 levels). I don't believe these are anything more than random any more.
Some strange things are happening in CC. I won an Episode Race that goes for over a week. My opponents barely left 15020, so I won it by playing a few levels a day to reach 15035. In addition, I got an extra 15 gold bars by watching 2 videos, giving me a total of 35 gold bars (20 for winning the Episode Race and the 15 for watching the videos), increasing my badly needed gold bars to 41.

Episode #15036/50 is another pain in the S. No skills required. Only robust boosters. On 15046 after seeing the video I used a check mark booster but I don’t know if it was the best option because initially it only turned the board more complicated. So appreciated the warning about 14976 and 14977 - I got through the 1st with just one gold bar purchase of extra moves (although these are now 25 GBs for 5 and a CB) and 2 sets on the 2nd (to keep bot streak alive). What I wasn't prepared for was 14979 (hard to get wraps to break the bottom licorice so needed UFO and extra moves but then the hell that is 14980! Got nowhere up top after original blast from the boosters - needed Party Booster and extra moves to pass.
Catching my breath before 14986 (the "legend" continues).
Hard to imagine the 15K levels are worse but I suspect they are. Plus, the ads seem to be all 30 seconds now (I have to play the Cinema to get more hammers and hands as I'm down to fumes on those).

Angie - watched the YouTube video for this level - looks like if you can make a CB in the middle column and drop it to combine with the CBs that come out of there, you can clear a lot. Failing that, I would use the frog to clear the way to the CB dispensers and then keep using the CBs to activate the frog over and over. Good luck!
Finally made to 15000 - bit underwhelming with the prizes :-) Starting the 15020 episode today (will see if I can win the episode race like Rick did. Lost my episode streak after 800+ in a row (skipped a day to play golf and someone snuck by me). I reiterate my "Candy Royale is a farce" - had one with 3 legendary/nightmare levels and only won 27 GBs. On top of that, they claim only a few dropped out after each whereas more people supposedly dropped out on "easy" levels. Color me skeptical.
Seems to cost between 100 and 150 GBs to complete an episode these days (plus a few party boosters/UFOs thrown in for good measure). Now they give you 6 moves and a UFO for watching the 3 videos but then drop down to 3 moves and a CB after a while. One of the legendary levels cost me 57 GBs, party booster and a UFO to complete (I always try to save my bot streak). Getting down to Luis' way of playing - couple times a week to avoid stress.
Hey Mike, did you notice that in Sweet Cinema, the Coke/Universal Studio ad was shown 20 out 25 and maybe 10 straight times? I don't know if they paid a lot to have their ad shown, or King does not have other ads to show
I am now at level 15042. I played only a level or few levels at a time because I just have hands and hammers. I don’t have major boosters like UFO and piñata to use, which are needed in most levels to pass them. I have only 41 gold bars to use. King does not give a free UFO anymore after watching 3 videos. Interestingly, I am still leading the Episode Race. My nearest competitors are in level 15036.

Congratulations Mike. Welcome to the 15K. Awful episodes. I completed the terrible #15065/80 with no ads and with CR appearing on the last level of the episode. Useless because I refuse to play two episodes on the same day. Looking to the videos we can see that they use party boosters in almost all of the levels and being so my bars will sell out soon and bye bye CC it was a pleasure. Meanwhile let’s irritate King once I’m not going to spend a single € of my own money. Enjoy.

Hank, I passed this level a long time ago on my first try but I can’t remember how I did it. I might have started with a CB combo. You can only get the yellow and orange candies from columns 1, 5, and 9. But you have to clear what’s in them first. Some are order-locked by something else. Extra moves won’t help you much. You need UFOs hoping that it drops the Wraps inside those columns or piñatas. Good luck.

For what it's worth, posting for luck!!
Rick - I seem to get clusters of ads on Sweet Cinema a lot - Coke, Fanta, Philosophy, HVC/QSN, etc. Some are 5 seconds, most 15 but some are now 50 seconds. Rarely get a UFO (once in a while 6 moves and a UFO but that's rare) after the 3 videos now and to buy 5 more moves now costs 25 GBs. Some levels I start with full bot, a UFO from the chocolate box and still have to buy 25+32 GBs worth of moves (run out of UFOs but still have 40+ Party Boosters from that time I won 100).
Made it to 15213 now - Episode race are a joke (e.g. beat 2 legendary levels and a nightmare and win 14 GBs) - or they make you win 21 levels in a row. I even won 100 GBs in some weird contest (but the cost was spending 1200 GBs, which I did over the course of 2-3 episodes). I think I've spent almost 10K GBs over the last 3K levels (but never spent a dime on them). I no longer win Sam's streak or the weekly most levels races.
Mike, wow, you passed me already and so far away now. I am still at 15044. After reaching 15000, I’ve lost the incentive to play Candy Crush. I played maybe a level a week. I try to accumulate about 20 each of hands and hammers first to play a level, but the levels now are much harder that you need a major booster like a piñata or UFO to pass it.
Rick - I'm with you, without hands or hammers, it's pretty much impossible these days. If you want a good chuckle (or a feeling of total despair) take a look at the video for 15874 (which I think is the highest level now) - the player just starts bashing blocks and painting stripes continuously. On the last episode, I must have spent over 200 GBs, many on "normal" levels where I start with full bot, extra CB and stripe/wrap and still can't finish with the extra 3 moves and the CB from the ads. Once or twice a week sounds good. If I think about it, I'll try to point out some levels to watch out for. I stopped watching YT videos when playing on the tablet (since I have a lot of GBs and PBs, which are quickly dwindling) - the rating system is almost totally useless - I've passed nightmares with 20 moves to spare while needing 10 or more to complete some normal ones.

Stuck on 10021, really hates the levels with icing AND chocolate that grows. Out of boosters, have the coconutwheel but it just disappears under the icing/chocolate. Dont have any goldbars and I will not pay money. Just waiting for luck.
I was really dissapointed with King when I passed level 10 000. I thougt something really extra would happen, lots of free boosters and so on. But it was nothing special. Now stuck on 10 033 and just eaiting for luck.
Some warnings from the future - in addition to the hell that is 15256 (need check boosters times 10 - CB/wrap combos key), 15259 is much harder than just "hard". Need to knock out 4 keys (might want to use a few hammers to start) and then unlock some frozen so again CB/wrap or CB/stripe combos with goal to clear cake which is well locked/frozen away. Then there's the surprise that is the "normal" level 15261. Have to keep actioning the frog with CB generators that pop up towards the bottom but very hard to keep making matches (and to have enough of the frog's color at the time) to keep activating him/her. Extra moves a high probability you'll need to clear the 2 side columns (of course a magically CB/CB combo appearing would be a true Xmas miracle :-). After clearing latest episode, time to take a few days off (other than to keep stockpiling hammers/hands).

Stuck on 10039. If I only had goldbars I would easily pass with now another 80 moves but I am not buying them and since I dont pass I wont earn any. It just gets boring. Please luck luck luck.
Well done Mike. I’ve just completed level 15200 and I keep my tactic of playing only once or twice a week according to Candy Royal although the reward is very small. No stress at all now. Levels are very difficult and the only source of bars is the episode race. Nevertheless I think I have enough bars to some few more episodes. Tips are now absolutely useless. Good luck everyone.

after 2 weeks stuck at 14974 finally passed today ,started played 14976 with full boosters plus free a ufo ,still couldn’t pass after hours , saw Rick’s comments back on November, level 14977 is probably even harder ,have no desire to play anymore .King seems manipulating moves every day or two, purposely having us to buy gold bar ,well not me

10137 is a really boring level, hate the icing. When you try to use a booster it is under the ice the whole game. Frustrating to say the least. Need a lucky board.

Warning from the future - level 15411 ("normal"_ is insane! Spinners that can't be destroyed bottom middle keep freezing blockers - cost me 2 PBs and 40 GBs to pass. Do try to clear the 2 spinners on the side and try for wrap/wrap (or CB/wraps if you're really lucky on the sides to clear path but expect hell :-)
Then, there's nightmare 15412 right after it - hope for CB/CB combo to start or worse case CB/wrap to clear the locked licorice to give you a chance.
p.s. Luis - interesting you play the Candy Royales in the 15000s. I've won a few (even the ones where you have to win 14 levels) and get very few GBs (e.g. 12) whereas in my FB game up to 14682) I won a CR and got all 400 GBs. Really hard to believe when you beat 2 nightmares and a legendary in 7 levels, that 41 other people also did (but I also believe in the tooth fairy :-)
Anyway, little shout out for my battered Bills tomorrow - hopefully, all the Swifties will go home sad!

Mike: you are right. CR rewards are miserable but once I decided to play only once or twice a week I think that tactically it makes sense to take the most of it. Done thru #15305 and I won 72 and 39 bars on the last 2 episodes which, by the way, I completed without any robust boosters and without spending any bars. Maybe King is on Carnival vacations 😉😉😉
