This blog is now complete, I will not be doing any more tips or videos after level 10,000.
I will be working on lower levels that have been changed to make them more relevant for newer players who need help.

Done thru 11960 and completed all levels on my first try and won 2 Episode Races. I was trying to save the last 2 episodes for stickers in the Daily Win but another player overtook me in Sam's Streak Contest, so I played those episodes to regain my lead. I fixed my problem on my Android - wound up having to "Clear Data" in App Mgr (which cleared out all my boosters except gold bars) then restored to get to latest level. Plus, King took pity on me (since they claimed the problem was on their side but couldn't do anything to fix it) and gave me handful of boosters.
I'm now up to 11906 - kept my bot streak going - up to 49 now - so levels are a little easier.
Just FYI - I finally got to play a Candy Royale on my new laptop (levels 501-515). You have to win 7 levels in a row, start with 100 people (supposedly on same level) and then you split 500 gold bars with the others who complete the 7 - in my case I got 19 bars (28 others out of the 100).
Anyway, I'm in second place on the weekly episode race with chance of overtaking the leader (only in the 50's at the moment). Haven't had a chance in long time (with winners typically over 90 so 2 full episodes). Another advantage of lagging behind!

Mike, by interpreting your posts, it seems that you are playing levels 501 to 515 from your new laptop (did you start by playing level 1 that is why you win several Episode Races and gained 700 gold bars from the wins?) but playing 11906 on your old device. How were you able to do that (playing different levels) if that is the case?
I played Candy Royale on my wife's account (she is only in the 3400 levels) and I won her 39 gold bars by winning 7 conxecutive levels but I still don't understand how it works.

Done thru 11975 all on first try and won the Episode Race. However, I am saving the next 2 episodes for next week's Weekly Contest. The leader in this week's contest has already 54 levels, so completing 45 levels from 3 episodes will get only give me 45 which is not enough to win the Weekly Contest.

Up to 11978 with bot streak of 30 - these levels haven't been too bad, but it sure helps to start with all the boosters and sometimes adding timed ones from FF and other assorted contests. I will say to beware of the level (think it was 11972) that has all the blocked licorice on the top and 2 colors in the main board. If you can't unblock one of the licorices (all your boosters get pushed to the side until you clear one and they drop down), you lose with no moves left. Worst case, if you can't make vertical stripe, save a hammer to clear a licorice. After that, it's pretty easy.
Finally got to win a weekly race (of course, my version has no gold bars, just variety of boosters) but did win a chocolate box to get to 35 gold bars so I have some protection going forward.
Much different than my "back to the future" version where I've won 75 episode races in a row and have over 2300 gold bars. There are some really hard levels back there but at least there beatable without buying 35 extra moves. It's really a great boost to your ego (mine has been suffering with the levels over 11000) - I am King of all I can see (of course at level 1100 instead of level 11000) :-) My goal is to catch up and have thousands of gold bars when I reach 10000 and I can laugh at the developers!

11945 The episode 11931 to 11945 was ridiculous. Many can’t be won without special boosters such piñatas. Candy Crush is not fun anymore
What's up with level 11986? Marked normal, level was made harder by reducing moves from 32 in the video to 24 but even with full bot unable to get close. Looks like a 35 move level but was wondering if anyone had any luck/hints on how to play. Keys and wraps are all wrapped in goo so just clearing the keys takes more than half the moves.
Wasn't too bad until I got here. Had bot streak of 40 but came to crashing halt on what should have been "easy". At least when they mark them nightmare, you know to check out the video and add boosters going in. These "surprises" seem to be designed to stop streaks and get you to spend money to buy bars.
Rick - I know you're sitting this week's episode out til Wednesday - I might still be here when you come whizzing by :-)
Done thru #12005. No rewards on level #12000😂😂😂😂. Third episode of the week has some very difficult levels specially if you are playing without timed boosters which was my case. Again, tips are useless. Levels are easy understandable and only the number of moves is completely different when we compare with the videos. Good luck everyone 🍀
Looks like the new "normal" for King. After finally giving in and buying moves for 11896, I hit 11992 - another "normal" level (only 20 moves) and impossible to beat. Down to my last 15 gold bars so this might be my last hurrah for a while.
Won the weekly episode (with 56 levels) but all that gives is more boosters, no gold (or UFOs or Pinatas).
Back to the "wait til King eases off and makes levels possible" strategy. I'll let Luis and Rick blaze the trails.
p.s. I swear King went back and made the older levels harder - playing in the 1300s there are 2 or 3 nightmare levels in some episodes that either kill your streak or cost you bars to keep going. And here I thought I could breeze through 1000 levels a week and catch up. Time to reset expectations!

Pat & Deb I concur! It is no fun anymore and I’m really getting tired of it as well. I hate the fact that CC dictates as to when you win or not. It’s so obvious that they manipulate your moves. I wish they had more respect for their players. It’s a joke when you look up the game online and see that the amount of moves has changed etc. I refuse to spend any money on it at this point there are a lot of fun and less stressful games out there! It’s really to bad. ☹️

I agree with everybody that the levels in Candy Crush are now so ridiculous that you will need extra moves and/or use major booster (UFOs or piñatas, in addition to the minor boosters) to pass these levels. I have to use 3 to 5 major boosters to complete each episode. My gold bars is now less than 1,000 (I used to have over 2,000) by using them to buy boosters.

Well, joined the 12000 club - as was noted earlier, no fanfare. Up to 12010 now - I was able to get past the last 3 nightmares without using the gold bars I don't have. I loved the one level, which was marked normal with 20 moves (where I lost my bot streak), then it went to 25 and marked hard then finally 30 and marked super hard.
The new feature (only on my Android tablet, not on Facebook version yet) where you can watch an ad and get board shuffle has proved helpful a few times (moves everything including a few boosters which sometimes activate without costing a move) when I've gotten close but can't finish with the existing board. Only once per level though.
I now police my playing to a few levels at a time - not throwing my limited boosters at a level in the heat of the moment. I actually thought at one time that this game taught patience and perseverance - now I think it teaches stress and frustration :-)
Time to wean myself off Candy Crack!
Done thru #12035. This second episode is one of the most difficult so far😂😂😂. I think King should revise some levels increasing the number of moves.
Att Mezzanine: on # 12021 I think the only way to pass it is using the initial check mark booster.

I won the Sam's Streak contest and won a piñata. My 45 levels is holding up well so far in the Weekly Contest. The second place has only 19 levels but there are 3 days left, so I'll watch it carefully if my lead will be threatened. If not, I will save the 2 episodes for next week's contest.

This week's third episode is really ?&^%€#@. I already had to use 4 times my precious goldbars. Nothing left and episode is not finished yet. Level start 18-20 moves and you need all 35 extra to finish it. Why i'm still playing?
I won the Weekly Contest with only 45 levels. (The second placer has 37.)
Done thru 10235. I passed all the levels on my first try except 10234. I just want to forewarn you that 10234 is a very ridiculous level. The problem in 10234 is that the Licorice Swirl do not fall enough to complete the order. You cannot use a check booster to start the game. I have to buy 10 extra moves by using 16 and 25 gold bars to be able to get enough Licorice Swirls (in addition to wasting many boisters to make them fall to no avail) to pass it. I played several times but was not able to pass it, so I am forced to used 41 gold bars to finally pass it. I have no choice because I will lose the episode Race which I won, so in effect I just lose 1 to complete the episode.
Luis, did you have any problem in passing 10234?
12036 Episodes 12021 to 12035 was terrible and ridiculous. Candy Crush are creating horrible levels packed with multiple layered candies that can’t be passed without piñatas or space ships. For this episode I used 10 piñatas an two space ships and an extra ten gold bars. No fun anymore. It was once a pleasant and enjoyable pass time but not anymore. No special boosters left. Can’t see the any sense playing it anymore. Congratulations Activision Blizzard and Microsoft you have ruined a good pass time in pursuit of excess profits.
Done thru # 12050. Awful episode with several levels undoable without gold bars or piñatas. No strategy or special skills required. You only have to wait for a lucky board and use gold bars😂😂😂

Done also thru 12050 all on first tries and won the Episode Race. I was losing the Episode Race midway but I rallied and won the race to keep my 98 Episode Race winning streak alive. When I was behind I might have used more piñatas than necessary to gain on the player ahead of me. I only used one UFO to pass a level on the previous episode (I wasted a piñata in 12034 hoping that sone Licorice Swirls might fall but none did.) The 3rd episode might be easier considering that there are only 2 Nightmarish Hard levels compared to 4 in the 2nd episode.

I actually think I have to quit this game. Stuck on level 11942, can get real close but I guess I haven’t played it enough times for them.. Win the fantastic five almost every time, rarely ever get the reward!
I think it’s an insult to our intelligence to have to wait for a lucky board. Just too stressful. Really sucks. 🙁

Done thru 12065 all on first tries and won the Episode Race. This time the Episode Race is like a walk in the park. All my opponents are bunched together on the 2nd or 3rd level and I won by at least 12 levels ahead.
This episode has no Nightmarishly Hard level but has 3 Super Hard levels.

Guys, there is new feature in Candy Crush named "Cool Treat Collection". If you collect 9500 green candies, you earned 3 each of hands, lollipops, and other boosters. I just collected them by playing level 1476 maybe 9 times. Buying those booster will cost you at least 38 gold bars.
I would have played level 8328 to collect the green candies but King "fixed" it by adding 3 colors of candies to stop the cascades. Level 1476 was also fixed but it is easier to complete. Note that the level has to be completed for the green candies to be counted.
Any hints/tips on level 12045? Not marked hard but giving me trouble. I had number of boosters going in the first time but didn't clear the far left/right vertical columns. The wraps that come in up top help but the farthest ones will drop down through portals. I watched video and seems like using the fish from the bottom trigger are key but keep falling short.
Passed 12034 first time and haven't had to use any gold bars in the 12000's yet - would hate to use them on level that seems very doable.

Never mind on 12045 - the very next time I tried (with no boosters at all) I completed it (on last move). Got number of wrap/stripe combos in the middle - of course, no relationship between posting and the "lucky board" LOL.
Rick - I got the candy collection a few days ago - I used 8238 to complete mine.
Now there's a purple candy collection (but it's most over couple of days). Best I've found has been 9000 - usually 250-300 per try - but people have over 7000 already (of course, nice to use the 10x multiplier for new levels but when some levels take hours/days to complete, not an easy task).
Mike, did you mean 8328 instead of 8238? The purple candy collection you are referring to is called "Sweet Sailing." I won't waste my time playing that because the leader has over 36,000 purple candies already. I also let go this time's Sam Streak contest. The winner had over 1500 points. I figured that even if I get maximum points from the 2 episodes, I will only get over 1400 points which is not enough to win. I will just save them for the Weekly Contest which my 45 is leading for the moment.
So, maybe I was just "lucky" enough to get an unlucky board in 12034. Both Luis and Mike did not have a problem passing it.
I just discovered something in Season Pass. To complete the tiers (the 10th Tier has a UFO reward on it.) I just played level 8031 over and over again to complete all the tiers. Level 18031 is relatively easy to complete.

Rick - yup, you caught my dyslexia on 8328. I have same thoughts about purple candy contest - no sense chasing unreachable goal. Today, they also added orange candy collection - just get to 9500 to get whole slew of boosters (6 of some, 3 of the others) which I did, however nothing showed up (they tell you go to Events tab but nothing there either). Happened on both Facebook and Android versions (2 different tablets).
I'm up to 12067 and can't see a way other than going the 35 move route. Even throwing kitchen sink of boosters (have no UFOs or Pinatas), can't get closer than 35 jellies and 3 cherries. Only 22 moves and way too many blockers to clear. Will probably give it another day or 2 and use my limited (up to 35 now) gold bars. Was nice until I hit this one - had bot streak in the 20's and only had to use occasional hand or hammer booster to clear final jelly. Oh well.
Any tips for level 12043? Not even mentioned.
Carole - just went back and played 12043 (with no boosters). My version has 30 moves now (it seems to change fairly frequently) - I got down to 10 jellies first time. I seem to remember using fish booster - the key is to get down to the bottom ASAP (so work the middle to start) and hit the 2 generators. CB/wrap combo was most important.

Done thru 12080. I was forced to play the 2nd episode because another player passed me in the Weekly Contest. Now I have regained the lead and I have another episode in reserve just in case.
Mike, I think we are even now. I passed 12067 on my first try just as you passed 12034 on your first try but which I had much trouble with. You might need more luck in the second episode, though, because there are other levels much harder than 12067. In fact I have to use 8 UFOs in the episode (but no piñata which I have none.)
I got cheated also in the orange candies collection. I got 9500 orange candies but had nowhere to claim the reward.

Carol, in 12043, your moves are limited to 6 squares in the top middle of the board. If you start with a stripe/wrap booster, the stripe and wrap might be side by side and you can start with that combo which will help open up the board. I think in my case I was able to start with a CB combo and passed the level on my first try. Good luck.

Done thru 12095 all on first try. Whew! there are lot of hard levels just in this episode. I used I think 8 UFOs to get thru the episode. I don't know how long I can last playing this game. I am down to less than 600 gold bars even after having a 100 Episode Winning streak.

Rick - was doing good until I hit 12085 - 29 moves in the video, only 19 now.
Lost my bot streak - without boosters can't get below 100/50/10. Looks like another gold bar level (of which I only have 25). Or I can risk my only pinata at some point. Maybe a few days they'll "fix" the level (but not holding my breath).
I finally noticed the way to claim the prize for the color collection (orange this time) was a Purple creature on upper left of the map screen (with a claim bubble). Never showed on the Events tab. Take a look Rick.
Pat - they just seem to show up when you start the game (maybe close and restart if you've been playing for a while). Play level 8328 15-20 times is best way I've found for orange/green/blue along with CB, stripes and wraps. For purple (or wraps or fish), I've been using 9000 or sometimes 11000 (fewer candies but faster to scroll back to and to complete).
Mike, thanks for the tip on the orange candy collection. I was able to claim it, too.
By the way, how did you pass 12076?
12076 is one of the 4 levels I did not pass on my fist try (the others are 11872, 11977, 12034) from level 11856 to 12095 (out of a total of 240 levels). The rest I passed on my first try.
I had problems with 12076 because the board is divided into 6 sections, 3 of them has 5-layered blockers shaped like a T. Underneath the T is a U-shaped 5-layered Toffee Swirls. These sections of the board have to be cleared because they block the exits of the cherries. There is also an order of Toffee Swirls. On my fist try, I think I used 2 or 3 UFOs but I ran out of moves. I did not want to pay 16 gold bars for 5 extra moves, so I played it again. I was able to pass it the second time but I have to use 2 or 3 more UFOs. I should have paid 16 extra moves because the 2 or 3 UFOs I used the 2nd time is worth much more than 16 gold bars. Although I watched videos that completed it without boosters, it has 2 extra moves and the player was lucky to have 2 CB/stripes combos. Besides, if you are in an episode race, you cannot afford the time to watch videos of levels, otherwise you might lose the race and the 40 gold bars that go with it.
Done thru # 12095. Very tough episode. In my opinion at least 4 levels are undoable without gold bars unless King decides to change them. On #12091 you have to hit the skull 3 or 4 times in order to open the board and allow the cherries to drop. So, try to play on the right side. 2 CB together is the ideal situation, although very difficult to get. Good luck everyone 🍀
Rick - I went back and looked at 12076. What I remember was making wrap/stripe combo on the 2 outside columns and then using CB to clean up the middle bottom column and got some cascades going there (what some people might call lucky board).
I played it on my other account with full boosters from the bot and failed miserably. I think because it wasn't marked "hard" I took it too easily.
I know I used 1 CB to start when I won - beyond that, think it was just combination of paying more attention and good old luck.
So, what did you do to beat 12085 on first try with only 19 (or 22 with the bot) moves?
p.s. I know what you're saying about the episode races - I wind up using gold bars like they're water on my new tablet (lot more nightmare levels in the 2000's than I remember) to keep my streak alive - up to 140 in a row (but when you have 3400, lot different than when you have 25 :-)

Mike, in 12085, I believed I was able to start with a CB combo. You will notice that most of the bottom part of the board (5-layered Toffee Swirls,
Fish, and Licorice Swirls are "licorice-locked, the ones with a black X on them. They have to be hit once to remove the licorice lock. Once the licorice locks are removed, you can start to clear them, which you cannot do while they are still locked. A CB combo will remove the locks. If you cannot start with a CB combo, this is a good time to use your only piñata to remove the locks.
I think I might have use a UFO or 2 here, too. Good luck.
Guys, there is another candies collection, this time blue candies. There is also a Season Pass. I playe 8328 to collect my free boosters from the candy collection while I work my way up in the Season Pass. Right now I am on tier 9 but I need to complete 10 levels to claim the hammer reward on tier 9. On tier 10 is the UFO. I will just wait tomorrow Wednesday for the new levels to come out to complete tier 9 and part of tier 20.
Take advantage of this opportunity because it is very rarely the King offers us something to get free boosters.
Still stuck on now declared nightmare level 12079! I have used all gold bars and special boosters to get here. I can’t pass this without extra 35 moves. I will soon lose the level race too. Candy crush is no longer fun and impossible to play unless you pay for boosters! ☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️
So, maybe a little birdie told King 12085 was not passable with 19 moves because it showed up with 28 today. Took a few tries, plus few boosters (that shuffle really helps when you get close to the end for the price of watching a video - which I haven't had any videos for years in my platforms I play on) but I got past it. Then, they throw 12088 into the mix - that took a while but got past it without gold, UFOs or Pinatas. But at least they were marked hard. 12090 snuck in there and cost my meager bot streak (I only watch videos before I play hard levels). Got past it and now gearing up for 12091. So far, no gold bars or UFOs/Pinatas to get through this episode (although I was this close to using gold on 12085 before they upped the moves).
Sympathies to Rocky on 12079. Without a big splash to open up the jelly generators (not sure what to call them), you could use 100's of moves and not get anywhere. CB/wrap once you get some progress clearing the middle is probably best.
I got the blue candy collection on both accounts today - 6 hammers and 6 hand switches really help. Got through 12088 (nice to use hammer to line up CB and wrap together) with a little help from my friends :-)
Done thru 12110 all on first try and won the Episode Race. It is probably an easier episode because for a long time I did not have to use a UFO or piñata (which I don't have any, anyway) or buy any booster in an episode. I earned 2 UFOs from the Daily Win and Season Pass. I am saving the next 2 episodes for stickers in the Daily Win.

Rick - I also got to 12110 today - all first times too - however, 12103 cost me a pinata (my only one). It caught me by surprise (luckily I had check booster to help with all the yellow candies needed to clear each layer) and I was far enough along (and didn't want to lose my streak or buy moves) that it seemed like the thing to do. Getting past the last 5 levels of the previous episode was killer and it's nice to start each level with the 5 boosters.
Guess they wanted to apologize for previous episode with the 12096 one :-)
I've got my win streak to 149 episode races in the "back to the future" game I'm playing on my new tablet. Actually won a race when I took dinner break in the middle, came back, the leader was on last level (nightmare) and I won 10 in a row to keep the streak alive. Up to 2316 - probably catch up to you guys in couple of years :-)
Thanks, Mike, for keeping me company at 12110. I am in a quandary if I will play the next 2 episodes. The leaders in the Weekly Contest have 53 and 51 already, I will just have 57 with the 2 episodes, which is a very narrow and unsafe lead. While if I save the 2 episodes for next week, I can have 75 which is a much stronger number. I'll see.
There is another candy collection, this time purple candies. Is there any recommendation as to what level is best for purple candies? Remember that the level has to be completed for the candies to be counted. I am playing 1476 which needs a lot of scrolling down and I get about 600 to 700 per game.
I play 9000 for purple candies - usually get about 300-350 per try but it's lot closer than 1476 (which I played on the new laptop to get my 8700) and faster to complete. 11000 also works for purple - only about 250-300 each time but you can complete in 2 minutes or less (and good for filling out chocolate boxes especially for wraps).
Warning on 12112 - seems like enough moves but with the skull in difficult places and the coating on the bottom level of blockers, the end catches up with you sooner than you'd like. Not marked hard so almost caught me - needed shuffle and UFO to complete to keep my streak and save my gold bars. Up to 12118 now.
Done thru #12125. The usual. I found levels 12121 and 12124 very difficult mainly if you are playing without timed boosters. Of course that lucky boards are more than welcome😉😉.
I’m going to save third episode to next week because I have no chance with current weekly contest.
For purple candies I also used #1476.

I have collected the boosters from the purple candies collection and decided for me what to do with the 2 episodes. Luis - any pointers on 12121? I got here without using gold bars on this episode but with 20 moves (even adding CB and wrap/stripe combo to start) I can't get below 78 blockers, much less drop a cherry. Compared to this episode (with 5 levels to go), the previous one was a walk in the park.

Mike: unless you have a piñata to start with I don’t think you can pass the level without spending the 10 gold bars. A CB/CB could also help but it’s very hard to get. Don’t risk the 10 bars without a lucky board because it can be not enough. If it’s the case use a hand to move the last cherry to the other column.

Thanks Luis - one small correction to your comment on 12121. I had 5 moves left (of the 35 I bought) and moved the last cherry to the MIDDLE column (being brain-damaged, I forgot that these drop down the far right column - with no outlet. Next time, I got little luckier, got 2 CB/CB combos and finished with 5 moves to spare. If this level isn't a nightmare, I don't know what is!
Anyway, moving on (now I have 12124 to look forward to :-).
Well, got past 12124 with UFO but now it seems I'm going to be on a candy-cation as I'm not going to dignify 12127 by playing with 18 moves. Started out with 28 but that was "too easy" so let's make another impossible level. Enough is enough.

Done thru 12125 and completed 14 of 15 levels on first try and won the Episode Race. The only level I did not pass on the first try is 12116 where I fell into a trap. I was short 3 Dark chocolate to complete the order to pass the level. Although I have cleared all the cherries with 10 more moves to go, I know I will never get the 3 chocolate whatever I do, so I end the game and redid it with a check candy booster, which I passed on my 2nd try.
Rick - please tell me you used a pinata on 12121, otherwise in addition to you being the "God of Candy Crush", you'd be the "Super God of CC"! It took me 30 extra moves to beat that level.
Of course, we fully expect you to beat 12127, first time, with only 18 moves (21 in your case with the bot).

Mike, I have said before that I don't have any piñata so I did not use one in 12121. I did not use a UFO either because a UFO is not advantageous to use in that situation (although I used about 8 of them in the other levels.) I think I was able to use a CB combo to begin with in 12121 and created a CB/stripes combo by using some of the licorice shells that I turned into a CB and with the help of the Stripe Painter booster.
I am wise to save the 2 episodes for this week's Weekly Contest. The one which ended Sunday afternoon had a winner with 74 level which would have beaten my best of 57. (You know that being 2nd or 3rd will just get you a lousy CB, so you have to win it to make sense.) Right now my 15 levels is leading. I can add up to 75 levels if needed by playing the 3rd episode and Wednesday's new episodes.
Done thru #12140. Bad news guys. There are several very difficult levels. In my opinion and although not classified as nightmare #12139 is a “killer level”. Maybe I have lost my CC skills but I don’t see how can it be done without a piñata. Good luck everyone 🍀
Done also thru 12140 all on first try except 12136 and won the Episode Race. Mike, there is a trap in 12036. There is Licorice Shell on the middle bottom order-locked by Dark Chocolates, which order-locks the first and last columns. So let the Chicoloate grow before clearing them. In my case, I was short by 2 chocolates and I knew my game is lost because there are no more chocolates to open the Licorice Shell to open the outside columns. so I ended the game and let the chocolate grow some more and passed it on my second try, but my Streak was broken.

King is putting out ridiculously hard levels to exhaust our boosters and gold bars. If my gold bars are gone I am going to quit for good like some of the other players have done. I won't spend even a penny of my own money to continue playing this ridiculous game. Watch out King. If your players are quitting, less and less players will watch your videos where you are earning a lot from your advertisers!!! We players will have the last laugh.

Ok, so how did Luis and Rick (Mr. First Time) get past 12127? It had only 18 moves (20 this morning) but to clear the keys, the snakes, the vines plus the fences, then the outside columns for the cherries (I checked out the blockers below the cherries - 3 hits to clear - the ones on the bottom even more). I can convince myself with 35 extra move it can be done but not with 18 or now 20 (and no pinata).
Now that I know 12135 and 12139 are ahead sneering at me, I think my Candy-cation may become extended. Not sure I see the point it banging my head against this wall (even if it feels good when I stop).
I'm still here just several levels behind & it's too nice outside to be playing this game indoors
Mike, what I did in 12127 is to move the cherries inside (with hand boosters) when possible from the outside columns (from col. 1 to 2 and from col 9 to 8) because there are 5-layered bubble gum pops on rows 2, 8, and 9 blocking the cherries from the exits which are much harder to clear. Then I create a vertical stripe candies (using a stripe painter boosters) below them. When the stripe candies fired, the cherries went directly to the exits.
12135 is not as hard as 12139 but be just aware that you have to let the chocolate grow some more before clearing them.
12139 has 5-layered Toffee Swirls with 3 layers of sugar coats on them (8 layers total) on the last 4 columns which will take a lot of clearing. I have to use 2 UFOs to break them. (I don't have a piñata so I don't know if it it will fare better).
Done thru #12155. Very tough episode with some nightmarishly levels although the most difficult of all, in my opinion, is #12154 classified “only” as super hard. Again no need of tips. What you will need guys is more moves. Anyway, see the videos before you play mainly when there is a frog because it’s very relevant where to place it. I’m becoming short of lives and with only 15/30 per day is impossible to compete and win the episode race ….😂😂😂. Good luck everyone 🍀
Done also thru 12155 all on first try and won the Episode Race without buying boosters or moves. I have also increased my lead in Sam's Streak and Weekly Contest. I am reserving the two episodes unless my leads are threatened. In the meantime I have to increase my boosters because I'm getting low on them.

So, the good news is I got through 12040 without using any gold bars in the episode (since I only have 15) and have bot streak of 14. The bad news is I have no boosters to use during play (have decent amount to start levels with). I went all in to beat 12139 on first time and took my hammers and hand switches to do it without spending the gold.
I made the same mistake as Rick on 12135 (even knowing it was coming) as I saw I needed to clear a CB wrapped in black along with the chocolate - however, I never saw it so my initial blast cleared the chocolate and left me 2 short (had lots of moves but no chocolate). I replayed (on my other platform) and just waited for the chocolate to fill and it was super-cinchy (still never saw the CB wrapped in black but it didn't seem to matter).
So, living on the edge going forward. I get 1 level to use the gold bars on, otherwise just have to hope my bot streak never ends! Doesn't sound like a good episode starting with 12141 to do this on though.
Thanks to the Season Pass, I was able to collect a hammer and a UFO by playing 8031 over and over again. Short on boosters, I have to increase them whatever and whenever I can.
Hi all, I've been offline for a few weeks (although still playing CC of course) so I've not contributed to this blog for awhile. I've finished through 12140 and won't start on the next 3 episodes until later tonight. I've learned that I have a good shot of winning the episode races if I start at about 8 pm my time (US West Coast), playing 4 or 5 levels or until I'm in the lead or the leaders have stopped playing for the day, and then finish the level the next day starting at about 4 or 5 pm. I absolutely depend on gold bars to play since I often have to use them for 35 extra moves to win a level. I don't have the bot -- I didn't realize until reading your posts, Mike, that some of you still do have that feature, since mine ended seems like years ago (pre-Covid anyway). I'm sure I have features that others don't have but it sure is frustrating to have, and then not have, those things that you come to depend on to play and win. One great thing that kicked in for me at level 11747 was the extra moves jump by 3 each time (first 3 extra, then 6, etc.) so you get to 30 much much faster. Also they started to kick in after playing only 5 levels, not 25 or 30. Now, they kick in after 10 tried, but I still have the integrals of 3 benefit. Because I've been gone I haven't posted any of my tips. I know that all/most of you are beyond these levels, but here they are anyway:
11786: Concentrate on clearing the toffee above the 3 stripe-dispensers at the center bottom. For me that was the only way to get the cherries free.
11943: As soon as the yellow get released, clear all of them. A coconut wheel will then appear and wait for it to get all the way to the left: column one, bottom row. Then send the wheel up. It will release the 2 reds at the top and cause another coconut wheel to appear next to a wrapped candy. Send the wheel into the wrap and it will take out all of the keys. Then it's just a matter of clearing the toffees and getting the cherries down.
11966: One way to advance the cherries is to put the grown frog on one row lower and next column over from cherries to bring them down to the next level, and ultimately to collect them. If you have a board that permits you to grow the frog a few times -- get lucky with the color bombs when they open up and match the frog's color -- you can easily collect both cherries.
12021: You have to release the 2 dragon-snakes to burst bubblegum and ultimately reveal the chains that must be broken to get the 2 colors you need to collect dropping. It's worth it to use a color bomb if you have one to start and use it to release one of the wrapped candies. Either of those will take care of both dragons.
12067: Best opening for me: middle third then wrap/stripe from on left or right.

12094: Tip for a good start. (I still needed extra moves to win.) This configuration reminded me of one of the boards in Star Tournament, which I usually play while waiting for Wednesday's new levels. (More about Star Tournament below.) The 1st move seemed counter-intuitive to me, but because it looked like the more familiar level in ST, I tried it and I believe it's the best opener. It works 95% of the time. Move the solo green candy (row 5: column 5) up to row 4: column 5 to match with the 2 greens there. This usually will give you 2 contiguous color bombs in 1 or 2 moves (occasionally 3) which you can match together to take a a lot of junk. I think if you start with boosters it may screw this opener up. (Although you'll have the bang you get from them.)
12138: I had to watch a video to see how you clear the 2 cakes. Early on in play, there will be color bombs that are revealed in the far right column that will be activated when you hit the octopuses (jellyfish?) in the column to their left. Do this as quickly as possible. One of the color bombs will be open next to a single red. Collect all the reds with this color bomb which will release the reds in cages around the 2 cakes. Match the 3 reds around each of the cakes as soon as possible. Sometimes a second red appears next to one of the color bombs. When the reds are gone, there will be wrapped candies that fall in with the cakes. Wait until you have 2 wrapped and then hit them together. This will demolish the cake. Same thing will then happen with the other cake. If you clear the lower cake first, you will have an easier time clearing the upper one. But if you clear the upper one first, the wrapped candies will drop into that cake first and you have to wait until there are 2 of them and then a third one will drop down and go through the portal at the lower left of that cake's square and drop into the portal at the upper left of the lower cake's square.
Just a word about the Star Tournament. The rewards are minimal -- I came in 6th and won 3 boosters -- but I have found that playing it is a completely different way to play CC and in some ways it's just pure playing w/o having winning be the goal. (If it was the goal I'd be lost.) Just play once and then move on. It's also a good way to try out moves and see how various features work. I've set a strict rule for myself: I use absolutely no boosters in playing and never go for the 5 extra moves, even when I can see that I'll win with them, because I don't want to spend any gold bars. Anyway, it's just a way to play for the pure fun of it!
Btw, I agree with Luis that there are a series of nightmare levels in the episode ending with 12140 that are absolutely impossible, and King doesn't even mark them as hard.

Regarding your comment about starting the Episode Race at about 8 p.m. Pacific time to have a better chance of winning, I don't know about that. You mentioned before that you are in the Seattle area and I am in the Los Angeles area, so we are both in the Pacific Time Zone. I have not started an episode in the evening. I usually start an episode in the morning and I have a 102 Episode Winning streak at the moment. In the last 5 episodes though, I was behind twice and has to really to overtake the leader to win the race. Maybe I will also try to start one around 8 p.m. like what you are doing.
I won Sam's Streak contest last night and collected my one and only piñata. I am leading also in the Weekly Contest with my 45 levels, but there are still 3 days to go, so I'll watch it carefully.
So I made it to 12151 before finally having to use my last gold bars. Then got to 12154 (bot streak of 3, tried using the 3 boosters to start, couldn't complete).
I suspect I'll be able to complete 12154 (the old lucky board, have a few boosters from the wheel/daily spin) but if/when I run into another level needing the 35 extra moves, I see no likelihood of getting any more gold (not going to win episode race or Sam's streak when it takes me a day or more to complete 1 level). I'll keep poking at this for a little bit longer but I think I see the end in sight. Probably focus on my new game on new tablet (in the 2600's with 175 episode streak and 3900 gold bars - if only I could send some to my other self :-). However, even that game has become a little challenging - ran out of hammers and switches (get caught up in episode race, trying to keep up your streak and save gold bars) - tough to play nightmare levels when you need that 1 hammer or switch to complete the level or spend gold bars to buy 5 extra moves. I spend 51 gold bars on 1 level once out of frustration where 1 hammer would have done the trick!
I did complete the season pass as Rick suggested so I have a whole 1 UFO to throw at a level like 12154 or if I get to 12159, which I hear is the worst in the episode.
Done thru #12170. Again a tough episode with some difficult levels, specially #12169. This is a weird game. I have gold bars but I don’t have lives to play😂😂😂. Time for a break waiting King can reevaluate and change this absurd situation. Good luck everyone 🍀
Luis Bernardo: I don't think I'd still be playing if I didn't have unlimited lives (or what feels like unlimited; they cap out at 1000). Maybe this won't work for you but this is how I got them: you join the Wednesday CC Facebook Group -- private group but open to all who play CC -- and then add other Group members as your "friends" so when you click on the envelope when you need more lives, all those people who are your "friends" are there to gift you lives. There will also be "friends" in the list who are asking you for a life. I'm not sure how it all works, but when you give lives it doesn't decrease the amount you have. Each night, the number of lives replenishes up to 1000. (Technical thing: if 5 people are asking you for lives, then the replenishment amount will only be 995.
Once you gift the 5, they will replenish to 1000.) I think (not sure about this) that everyone who's your "friend" will give you lives when you are ahead of them in the game and they press "send lives" when you play any level. I'm a bit ashamed to say that I joined FB only because of this CC benefit! (Ashamed because so many of my friends/relatives are on FB and I don't look at their posts.) Btw, on FB I'm Irene (my real name) not Elektra (fake).
Another thing, while I'm in a confessional mood. My dirty little secret -- which you'll all probably throw me out of this blog for admitting -- is that I spend $100 every 3 or 4 months and buy 1000 GBs. I've disciplined myself to use them to buy extra moves but only 10 GBs and never the additional ones if I still haven't passed with the 35 extra moves, and the 1000 usually last long enough since I get additional GBs from the episode races (Rick, more about this later) and from the Royalty winnings. You get 100 "points" when you pay $100 for the GBs and those points give you a reward to choose from: usually a combination of GBs (30, or 50, or 75) and/or boosters. For example 100 points will get you 50 GBs and 9 hammers; or 30 GBs and 3 color bombs, 9 fish (who cares?), 6 hammers; or no GBs and 5 UFOs. You also get Royalty points just by playing and passing levels, although it takes about 2-3 weeks to get the 100 points you need to pick a reward.
Rick, re starting episode races at night vs. the morning. It seems that I can't put in the hours during the day that's needed for me to complete the episode in first place. I end up having to stop and then the next day I've already lost. So with starting in the evening, somehow it seems to work. I'm only at 11 for my streak since starting episodes at this new time (hopefully will get to 12 when I finish the last episode starting with 12171 today/tomorrow). But if I was at 102 like you, I probably wouldn't switch strategies now!

Thank you Elektra for your very clear and useful tips. Unfortunately this game doesn’t offer all players the same opportunities. It seems that King doesn’t like me😂😂😂 and I am one of those unlucky guys that only can receive 15 lives a day with a cap of 150 when you didn’t use them. It’s a very recent change and there is a lot of people protesting and abandoning the game.
Also exists a petition asking King a change in this policy.
No big problem to me if I quit. CC became a very stressful instead of relaxing game.

Done also thru 12170. Although I completed all the levels on my first try, my gold bars are exhausted. I have only 40 left from winning the last episode race. Levels 12159 thru 12169 are killer levels (Mike, take notice). I was wondering why there is only one CB on the board although I have completed all the levels on my first. Therefore, I cannot start with a CB combo. That makes the levels quite more difficult,
King you won. I am most likely quitting soon. My 40 gold bars will not let me finish an episode, the way King is putting out these ridiculous levels.

I won't be spending a penny of my own money to buy moves or boosters, a resolve I made as a result of King's cheating me at least 5 times by "timing out" the UFOs I should have won from Fantastic Five. I think that is what Dolce was trying to say she did not get the prize from Fantastic Five.
12141 Candy Crush is now a stressful game.. Not enjoying it anymore. Over the last two episodes I attempted five times to put Candy Bombs together and they blew up before I could get them together. This has not happened very often before. To win episodes now days you have to have special boosters .Not fun anymore.

Again a tough episode, namely 12172 and 12184 but maybe I’m not a good reference once every time I rate an episode as difficult Rick completes all levels on his first try😩😁. Now I’m facing a strange situation: not enough lives to compete in the episode race and more than 800 useless gold bars!!! Please KING: review the limited lives situation allowing us to send friends the lives we want as before 🙏🙏👍. Good luck everyone
Luis, you are the only one posting in good shape to still continue playing the game. Your getting short of lives is minor compared to not having enough gold bars, which you said you have still 800. You can get one life about every 20 minutes but you can only earn gold bars by winning an episode race, which is a catch 22 situation. You have to pass levels to win the race but the levels King putting out now (e.g. 12157, 12160, 12163, 12169) require major boosters (UFOs or piñatas) to pass them. I bought UFOs because they are cheaper than pinatas. Even then my gold bars were used up. Life is not a problem with me because I passed levels on my first tries, meaning I need only one life. I don't know if I can finish the episode to 12185 with 40 gold bars left. I'll try but most likely I'll just quit like what many other players have done already.

Only 1 gold bar left. Made it to level 12178. Without extra moves there’s no way to go further. I haven’t paid a penny to play and won’t start now. Guess I’m done for now until the levels are updated to be more reasonable.
I have to agree with Luis on this one, Rick, with respect to the importance of lives. In order for me to win most levels these days, I have to replay and replay and replay until I get the extra moves. I use 15 lives on just getting to the first 3 extra moves, 9 more lives to get the 35 extra moves. I don't always need all of them, and occasionally I don't need extra moves at all, but those levels are getting rarer and rarer for me. So the unlimited (1000) lives is crucial for my play. 800 gold bars are good, but in my universe that's 80 levels and then I'll need to win episode races -- maximum of 120 gold bars per episode (40x3) -- so after using up the original 800, the next 120 won't even get me through the first 15 levels of the next episode. If I used 10 GBs for each level in an episode, that's 450 GBs/episode. If I have Luis' 800 GBs and I win all 3 episode races, I'd have 470 GBs left (800-450+120). Next episode I'd have 140 left (470-450+120) and then I'd have to win the episode race w/o using all 140 GBs. So for me, it takes both unlimited lives and sufficient gold bars to get the extra moves in order to continue playing. I agree that it makes a huge difference if you can win levels on the first try, or even the first 15 tries, w/o needing to use GBs to buy extra moves. But I don't have the bot any more so I only start with boosters the next level after winning a level on my first try, or from my F5 team, chocolate box, or Carnival Climb. (I know we don't all have the same goodies; these are what I currently have.) Looking back at the last 2 episodes, 12096-12185, I had 18 wins on my first try. That leaves 72, most of which I probably used GBs for extra moves. But no matter if I need extra moves, I'd go through Luis' max 15 in the first 5 minutes. So again, w/o unlimited lives AND gold bars, it's not a game I'd be able to play.
Luis, if there's any kind of a petition that you know about circulating to get unlimited lives again for those of you with limited lives, please let me know and I'd be happy to sign and add my $0.02.

Hello. After having read what Electra and Luis were writing about lives I would like to present my approach to the game.
A while ago all goodies disappeared from my game (winning bot, chocolate box, episode race and weekly contest) and I fell way way behind from the Wednesday club as I got bored replaying levels for 50 times to earn extra moves to pass and also having lost all possibilities for earning GBs.
Then suddenly everything came back and I'm catching up fast now.
Once I was able to restore a full winning bot, I now always add a CB from the starting boosters and spend some hands or hammers to start by switching the two CBs. A few moves before the end, if needed, I throw in what it takes to pass and not to break the bot.
I start a new episode every three days when I reach the last of chocolate boxes - the one requiring new levels to be passed to complete the box and earn 10 bars, so I earn 50 bars every three days plus some UFOs and other boosters from daily winns and FF.
My stack of CBs is growing and allowing me to buy piñatas and paintbrush boosters instead of spending bars on extra moves.

I haven't had the bot in years, so unlikely that I'll ever get that back, but who knows. For now, I'll just play until I'm sick of a level or get that lucky board so that I can use 10 GBs to win with 5 extra moves. I wrote to King and hopefully others who lost this perk will as well. Would you believe that I am still trying to finish the third episode from July 20. I cannot even think about the three episodes from July 27. Looks like I will still be on this last episode when next Wednesday rolls around. That will put me 90 levels behind. I will probably be in a nursing home before I can catch up!

Obviously King didn't like my post how to play the game.
Namely today, when I wanted to start a new episode, King reseted my winning streak to 0, depriving me of my bot.
So I'm back to replaying levels over and over again till I hit a few of easy levels to rebuild the bot.
Was it a hint from King not to help others but have them suffer and buy GBs and boosters?
Luckily the episode 12186-12200 was quite okay and I'm back with full bot 😅
Obviously I do not deserve to be in this game anymore! I do not buy gold bars so I can not beat the levels! I can not win the races or win the competitions for extra boosters. I am stuck on level 12181 which is impossible! Good luck everyone! ☹️☹️☹️
I am also done with Candy Crush. My 40 gold bars enabled me to get to 12187, the 3rd Nightmarishly Hard level in the episode (in addition to 2 Very Hard and 1 Hard level.) With 1 gold bar left, I can't continue anymore. CONGRATULATIONS to King for succeeding in making another player quit CC. Good luck to your advertisers who are wasting their money advertising in your game which players are getting less and less by quitting every minute.
I think it's a good time to delete Candy Crush from my tablet to make space for another game to install. Goodbye CC. I said I won't spend a penny to play this game and I really MEAN it.

Would you believe it that I completed the episode thru 12185 and still won the Episode Race and collected 40 gold bars? I checked this morning and found out that I was still leading the Episode Race so I played on my other device with some boosters and 3 piñatas. I used one of the piñatas on 12184 and passed it. That's the only level (12184) in the episode that I did not pass on my first try.

MP: I'm starting your method (revised a bit since I don't have the bot so I can't start automatically with boosters) of acquiring and using saucers and piñatas, which are more cost-effective, rather than spending 10 GBs for 35 extra moves, since that option's gone for me. (I fervently hope that I get it back!!) I'm about to start this week's episodes (I'm on 12231) and will see if my supply of those extra-useful boosters + the occasional 5 extra moves if I'm pretty confident that I'll get a win, is sustainable for me, and if the game is still enjoyable. Which it's definitely not at this time w/o the 35 extra moves option. I saw that you lost your bot and winning streak and was heartbroken for you -- then saw you got them back so I'm happy that's worked out. (And it gives me hope that I'll get my 35 moves back too!) #Elektra: I'm sorry that you still don't have the bot. But I'm afraid without it the stategy I described just won't work.
Levels lately are so hard that not starting with switching two CBs is simply not enough to pass.
I was without the bot and Episode race for weeks if not months and during that period I was playing daily just to collect from F5 and daily boosters, not wasting any of them, until the bot and the Episode race reappeared.
Now I blaze as described with all it takes to pass on first try through every episode when I need to clear the task of the last chocolate box to earn additional 10 GBs and so earning 50 bars every 3 days.
Sounds like you’re all moving on quite quickly! Great for you all! I took a little hiatus, I am so tired of not getting my rewards it keeps happening over and over. I’m stuck on 12,060 it’s absolutely ridiculous how many times I played it..
My biggest wish it would go back to being a fun game and not just a money grab. 🤞🤦♀️
So I took a week off (vacation to visit grandson in NY) and was able to get through some of the harder levels which got a little easier after time without any gold bars - up to 12192 now. Wanted to see if anyone got the "Jackpot" from the daily treat machine and didn't get any of the boosters promised (they show you whole circle of boosters but afterwards, I still only had 1 hammer).
I guess I don't get the whole lives thing - I use the friends with the envelope on the left side and have hundreds of lives saved up that I can use when I run out. Every time I run out, I ask friends who respond (and I make sure I accept their requests for more lives as good citizen :-).
I've also found that 10 gold bars seem to show up about once a week when I get below 10 (I know I haven't earned them - only chance is chocolate box).
I am curious as to how you can get through 4 chocolate boxes to get to the last one with the gold bars in 3 days. My experience is you can play 3 of the 4 tasks per day then have to wait to tomorrow to complete and play 3 more so in my experience it's 4 days at best (and of course you have to be able to win 6 first time levels to win the final one with the gold bars - unless someone figured out what "winning" and "using" UFOs means other than having to use them from your inventory, which is a non-starter).
Lastly, it seems there's now an orange banjo challenge (of course on my Facebook account, it says it's starting but no orange banjos showing up). They did show up on my tablet. The blue one from last week was nice (thank God for level 8328!).
I'm still playing, stuck way back on 12,001, the weather is too nice to be indoors, but thanks for asking & I'll catch up some day, good luck everyone!

Mike, yeah, I found out in this week's episodes that there's no way that I can sustain playing w/o the 35 extra moves, since I don't have the bot and therefore rarely have boosters when I start a level. I finished this week's levels, getting through 12275 today. Although I won each episode race -- seems that everyone is playing slower!! -- which got me 120 GBs, when I started the episode I had (a) 960 GBs and now I have 229 (which includes the 120), (b) 18 hammers and now 8, (c) 27 hands and now 3, (d) 0 saucers and 0 piñatas, having started with 12 and 8 respectively. I'll keep playing, hoping that I get my 35-extra-moves option again, but I may give up all together since I found this last episode NO FUN AT ALL and now I'll have to just keep playing the same level over and over and over with no pot of gold at the end! I'm still hopeful to get the option back, since Mike got his bot+ back and Luis also got his >15 lives back. Hopefully you're all in better shape than this!

Does anyone have a tip for 12199?! I currently have one hour CB booster, Rap candy and stripe booster, and fishes all for an hour and I can’t get anywhere. Any tips are appreciated. Sometimes I find that when you don’t have boosters the board goes better so if that’s the case just let me know. Thank you

I can't believe I'm saying this but this the episode that ended with 12220 was actually not too bad! Got my bot streak back (up to 11 now), on 12227 (12226 cost me a few hammers/switches) but haven't had to use GBs (only have 15) yet so moving on. The green microphone challenge and the orange one before it helped (now have 10 each hammers and switches) so have a little protection.
I went back and tried 12199 (without boosters) - only think I can suggest is to try and get fish/wrap combo and hope it hits the 2 licorice generators or else get wrap/stripe combo in the middle after clearing the licorice and the jelly generators up top. Of course, if you can somehow get CB/CB combo to start, that starts things off right. Playing behind the leading/bleeding edge does have some advantages - I usually see YouTube videos where the ones from 2 weeks ago are all without boosters and the ones from a few days ago wind up using extra moves and all kinds of boosters. If I hit a level where I see no chance without gold bars, time to take a break and wait til they wake up and make the level passable without divine intervention.

I use 9000 for purple. It takes time. If you have time, use 2000, also.

Got to 12264 before my luck ran out - bot streak of 52. Ran out of hammers/switches - might require some of my remaining 25 gold bars. Seems like maybe developers gave us fighting chance these last 3 episodes (of course, I'm just hearing of 12274 and "divine intervention" - oh well, nice while it lasted :-)
BTW - I used 1476 for purple candies - usually get between 800-1000 per try. Lots of scrolling to get back there but with the 2 contests back to back, worth the effort. I won on one of my accounts and finished 2nd in the other (20K behind with an hour to play).

So after wondering for long time what Candy Royale was, I had seen here that it doesn't happen without 100 people on same level and that at the higher levels, very unlikely to happen for us (I have gotten it several times on my other account in the 2000's and 3000's). Well, yesterday it happened for me on 12265. I had just used 10 gold bars to get past 12264 (Deb, is that the one you're having trouble with or 12246?) after spending 2 days trying to beat it without gold. I managed to get to the final level 12271 and didn't complete the level. Took a risk, used my last gold bars, got 5 extra moves and completed the level and won 42 gold bars.
Question on 12274 (which isn't marked hard on my map) - the YouTube video from 1 day ago shows 35 moves and completed without boosters. 12273 is marked Super Hard - just checking before I play those 2 which one to be most scared of (since I may have used up my share of divine intervention this week :-)
On to 12319 more difficult than it looks. So little moves on these levels! Didn’t get my rewards again for winning the Fab four.😡
When you do win an hour play, how do you actually get that hour it runs out when you’ve lost your five lives?
12273 is a nightmare Mike…. After playing it multiple times I added some fish so either they felt sorry for me or they actually work I don’t know but I did win it!
I am still struggling with the last episode from August 10. I cannot get to the three levels that came out on Wednesday, August 17. Well, whatever!
Thanks Dolce, I managed to get through both 12273 and 12274 (latter one not too bad with the more moves now). Finished episode through 12290 now without using gold bars (even got 10 more from chocolate box ). Only bad news is I used up my few hammers and switches to get this far so time to take a break. This 20 million gold bars with blue candies really confused me as I never saw any tracking from playing new or old levels. I think what they did was give you Candy Royal for your shot at fraction of the 500 bars (winning seven in a row not easy at the levels we're playing - unless you're Rick ☺). Anyway good luck to all who are still playing. I thought I'd be done when I ran out of bars but the game managed to get me back and now I have 30 to trudge on with.
I have been on a super tight budget for the last six months. So mostly I play levels with minimal or no boosters. Every two weeks I get enough points in the royalty rewards to claim a reward and have some gold and boosters. But there have been a few levels where I literally played for like five days. Right now I am on 12261, I just can’t figure out the best way to start it, or go about it in general. Usually when you play a level 5000 times you figure it out the deal after a while and then eventually get a lucky board to boot. I don’t know, it’s just not happening with this level for some reason. If someone could go back and look at this level for me real quick and tell me what they did I’d appreciate it. ☮️💚😊
Hi Carol. I didn’t find #12261 that difficult. It’s very easy to combine 2CB even if you have to use switch or hammers. Just in case you can also add the initial check mark booster. Good luck.
Carol067, I went back and replayed 12261 a few times to try and recreate how I passed it. Luis is correct that there are many color bombs created during play, but I was very low VERY low on hand switches and hammers and didn’t want to use the few I had. I’m certain that I used gold bars for extra moves to win. This was probably the level — not 100% sure — that I used almost 100 gold bars to get 5 extra moves at a time because the 35 weren’t available to me that week, which proved to me that the way I normally play would not be sustainable for me (w/o spending real $$, which I can’t do). IF you have the 35 option now (I got it back last week) I’d recommend playing until you get the max extra moves and then try. Use Luis’ tip if you can before then!
Here’s a tip for 12339 which made all the difference for me. (Tip came from Wednesday Facebook group.) Use a check booster so that you’ll have enough licorice dropping. Otherwise, my experience was that I never got sufficient licorice even when I had cleared everything else out early in play.
With 35 moves back (last week) and now gifting lives in levels back this week, I feel like things are back to normal. Miserable few weeks though 😩.

Luis, having struggled to get past 12291 (only had CB/wrap combo from Carnival Climb to start) and then trying 12292 (with the 3 boosters at the start) and getting 96 jellies left, I'm not optimistic about this episode. Can I assume 12292 is 35 move one or is there some magic I can hope for?
Hi Mike. You will need “the hand of God” 🙏 to avoid the extra moves although 2 CB/CB can solve the problem. In this case you need to have some hammers/switches available to put the CB together.

Luis - thanks, it's now 29 moves (not 34 like the video but better than 22) and I made CB/CB combo and that made the difference - no gold bars required. Now up to 12302 - question here before I tackle it with my 4 bot streak is do I use the check booster? Don't want to clog up the left side but with all the ones on the right side, could help? Video from week ago uses 32 extra moves (3 weeks ago lot more moves and fewer blockers to clear).
Fred - I looked back at 11377 and other than saying "Wow", all I can suggest is stripe wrap combo to start (CB not really worth it at the start with so few candies) and fish booster.
Anyone playing this CB contest going on now? Even with 10x multiplier for new levels, very few have chance for more than a few so 20-30 per level. Best level I can find is 2000 (25 each time, takes a minute to clear) but there are players with over 35K CBs so not enough hours in the day. 3309 can also help along with 1000 or 8328 but the latter 2 take a bit to complete and not more than 30-40 at a pop.

Mike Baskey, thanks for the tip about color bombs at level 2000 — that’s one that wasn’t in my arsenal and you’re right in that it’s a very quick play for the 23+ color bombs you win. It jumped me into the top 5 (so far) but that still gets me a booster or 2.
I saw on Facebook Wednesday group that Fab5 is being phased out in the next few weeks. Bummer for me since that was a great way to get saucers. King certainly keeps us guessing.
Also, a new booster showed up but I don’t know what it does. I don’t want to use 9 gold bars to find out. Do any of you know?

12358 🤬🤬🤬🤬 I think CC determines how many moves you get by how many gold bars you have! So ridiculous.
What is it with 12318? I pass 12316 (nightmare) without gold bars, keep my bot streak going, then I hit 12318 which is marked "normal". Only 20 moves, too many layers to get to the licorice before then having to clear right column of multiple hit blockers down right column to get the cherry down. Coconut wheel helps a little but still several moves short of clearing.
Elektra, I think you're talking about shuffle booster? I had it for couple of months on my old tablet (not on my FB version) - it shuffles the board when you're stuck. I found it to be very helpful towards the end - usually creates or triggers some of the boosters on the board. My version also allows you to watch an Ad to use the booster so 10-15 seconds was worth it to me. It disappeared for me a few weeks ago.
I did notice on my new tablet (where I'm up to 3600's) that on some levels when you run out of moves, you can watch an ad to get up to 5 extra moves and recently the 3rd ad gives you a UFO which triggers when you go back to play. Haven't seen this before - doesn't happen on either of my accounts playing in the 12000's but a nice feature to save boosters and keep bot streaks going.
Since I've been struggling to play new levels in 12000s with very few gold bars, my goal is to have so many when I get up there (now have 5K), that I have buffer rather than stressing every other day about the latest nightmare level that needs 35 extra moves (although they seem to be fewer and farther between lately). Also, not being on the bleeding edge helps (usually get extra moves showing up after others endure the pain :-)
Thanks Mike Baskey about the shuffle booster. I still don't have the ability to watch an add so if I want to use it, I'll have to spend 9 gold bars -- as of now I can't imagine I'll ever use it!! As far as 12318, once you get the licorice count to open up that right-hand column, I found that there were many color bombs and wraps created, which helped to clear that column and release the cherry. Having said that, it seemed that I had to get that lucky board to win. For me, the 10 GBs for 35 extra moves is still my best strategy -- not having the bot, etc. I Love that you've got 5000 GB on your newer device. We're all going to be able to live vicariously through you once you reach the 12,000's!
And now I've lost the episode race, which had given me (usually) 120 GBs/week by winning all 3 races. I had the race for the first episode of the week (12366-12381), but not when I started the next one. The silver lining is that I don't have to watch what's happening in my game to make sure that others are not moving ahead of me in the race, and then drop everything else in my life and play CCS right away!! Now, much more leisurely, so that's something. Still a long way from "Chill and unwind", "Swipe match relax", "Time to relax", and "Relax...and play candy" or other similar exhortations that King offers when we open the game.
Sunny in Buffalo, football preseason is almost over and I'm more than ready for the regular season to start. (Although it's tough going for we Seahawks fans...new quarterback...lots of ?????...) I'll be cheering them on no matter what!

Hello guys! I got a new lease on life. i just won the just concluded Weekly Contest and collected much needed hand and hammer boosters. I also got 70 and 125 gold bars from Candy Royale, plus I won the last 2 Episode Races (all on first try), increasing my gold bars to 251. (Hey Mike, how were able to get 5000 gold bars?) I am now on level 12216, still over a hundred levels behind the lead pack. (Sorry, Sunny, you will need more (over 200 levels) to catch up, but you can do it. You are good.
Speaking of football, my team has a chance to repeat as champs this season. Go Rams!
I won two more Episode Races (all on first try) and got 50 and 85 gold bars from Candy Royale, increasing my gold bars to 411. I got my lone UFO from Fantastic 5 and leading by over 500 points in Sam's Streak. I am now on level 12246 but still a lot of catching up to do.
To those you haven't played level 12234, be prepare to pay with gold bars for extra moves. One of the orders in the level is 68 Bon Bon Blitzes, and that is a tall order. You are only given 23 moves. In my case I have to buy 5 extra moves for 16 gold bars because I am still short by 2.
To those who have passed it (Luis, Mike, Elektra, Dolce among others) did you complete it without having to pay for extra moves?

Up to 12365 but frustrated and disgusted. this game is no fun anymore. Am only playing two or three episodes a week to try and get gold bars. You can not play Candy Crush anymore without pinatas or lots of Candy hammers and Candy hands. The game used to be a game of skill but not anymore.

Same as Kik: today restricted to 20 lives/day. So bummed out (as we used to say in the ‘60s) since I thought that things were getting back to some normalcy once I got back the ability to get 35 extra moves. I just hope that king sees that limiting lives like this is not going to make us (me, anyway) spend more gold bars (and eventually $$) to get more lives. Instead it’s going to slow down my play. I hope the rest of you don’t get plagued with this.
Does anyone have a strategy for level 12379? With no boosters or gold. I usually have to play the really hard ones with no extras for sometimes up to a week. However I’m anxious to move on because I was stuck on 12377 for a week and yesterday I got to 12379 and I’ve been playing all day and I’m just over it. I’m not in position to buy any gold right now.
